I was given this product by 3M to use and try. I had not used it before and have to say I am not only impressed, but sold on it. The first application I tried was pretty simple...I have a stand alone pantry I keep my dog's food, treats, toys, etc in and I took photos of my dog, and using this product, I was able to "glue" them on the door. I did take the door off and outside to do this after reading the cautions about the fumes. Following the directions, it turned out great! My next use was originally done as a temporary fix to a problem, but now is a permanent fix. My shed has an odd shaped and size window that the builder must have custom made. The window glass had a crack in it that was spreading and I wanted to replace it, but not with glass. I had a piece of plexi-glass that I cut to size, so I removed the glass, and using this adhesive, I was able to glue it into the frame. I never would have thought about doing that had I not had this on hand, and am please with how it turned out. The spray goes on white, but dries clear, so you can't see where it was attached. Just for the fun of it, I had a pair of pants that the hem was coming down on. I sprayed a little of this on the material, and put the hem back up. Not sure how it would stand up to washing, but I did stitch it and it was nice not having to worry about stitching around pins, etc. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and can see multiple uses for it in the future.

I received this multipurpose adhesive free to review. I'm not sure of what it would cost, but it is a large can with a lot of adhesive. I tried it on plastic, paper and fun foam. One of the issues I had was that I was trying to glue small areas and the adhesive spray went everywhere. It did work on the areas I wanted to glue, but I also had it on my hands, etc. If you had a large area to glue, then it would work fine. So I would recommend it with that caveat.

Really works

Comments about 3M Super 77 Adhesive Spray:

This is an excellent adhesive, it works on so many things, and even sprayed on to help a rusty underpart stay on my vehicle. (Later removed and replaced, but needed a two weeks period). It helped with paneling that was loose, a paper label, we needed to ship, a figurine, and more, the only thing that couldn't hold up with the adhesive was a pair of leather shoes, the sole has begun separating, it appeared to, but upon wearing the next morning came apart again. It's great.

This is the product that manufacturers recommend for best results on the job. I am very happy with the results of this product. The spray tip gets the adhesive where you want it, so overspray is minimal. Satisfied!

Very handy

Comments about 3M Super 77 Adhesive Spray:

3M gave me a free sample of this product to evaluate. I've used it on paper, fabric, and plastic. It works very well and it dries quickly. It takes longer to dry on fabric and plastic but its very effective. The only con that I would find in this adhesive is that its messy. The spray nozzle makes it so that the spray area is wide and less precise. So its better for bigger projects but if you're careful you can use it to glue almost anything.

Great household adhesive!

By JessiAnn11

Comments about 3M Super 77 Adhesive Spray:

I received a free sample for my unbiased opinion. I never knew I needed this until I started going around the house and seeing everything falling apart. This was so great for re-attaching linoleum panel strips around the house that have otherwise made the place look run down and I didn't know how to repair. This product was like having contractor-construction level tools on hand but for normal people to use! It's one of those things you never knew you needed until you have and you're like, WOW! This works so great!! The only drawback was that the spray can go a little wide so some may end up on the floor. An easy fix is to lay down some newspaper before you spray so you don't end up with sticky residue on the floor. Otherwise I give this an easy 10 out of 10!!

Works as promised

Comments about 3M Super 77 Adhesive Spray:

I received this as a test product from 3M, and decided to give it a good test. It seems to be a great product to make sharp painted edges. The reason it does not get 5 stars is because I always ask more then promised. It will not hold a heavy drop cloth for a longer period of time. If you work real quick, it might hold the drop cloth in place and protect your carpet. If you had taped down a heavy drop cloth because you want to paint the entire room, you might discover that you need to re-attach it at regular intervals. But overal I would recommend it.

Cartridge Comparison Guide
  • Cartridge Types
  • Ink & Toner Basics
  • Number of Pages & Shelf Life
Cartridge Type
Genuine or OEM (Original) Cartridges Remanufactured Cartridges Compatible Cartridges
Description OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer, meaning the cartridge was made by the same company that made your printer. Original brand cartridges are very reliable and sometimes the only option if your printer is new to market or uncommon. Remanufactured ink is a genuine brand cartridge that has gone through one cycle of use. After use, the cartridge is recycled, acquired by a remanufacturing facility and put through a rigorous professional refurbishing process. During the refurbishing process the cartridge is disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and tested for quality. It's then carefully refilled, tested again and brought back to life. Buying remanufactured prevents one less cartridge from ending up in a landfill. A compatible cartridge is a brand new ink cartridge built by a manufacturer other than your printer. It's like buying the generic version of the genuine brand. Most are uniquely designed to differentiate from genuine cartridges. Despite any structural difference you may notice, the cartridge will still fit in your machine and print a full yield, just like the original brand.
Price Factors Many printer manufacturers follow the razor-and-blades business model which may result in higher priced genuine cartridges. Remanufactured ink is much cheaper than the original brand ink. It's far more cost effective to refurbish a previously used cartridge than create a new OEM from scratch. Compatible ink is much cheaper than the original brand. Compatible suppliers don't have to worry about the additional costs that hinder OEMs like new printers or firmware, which lets them keep prices low.
Quality Original cartridges work extremely well and are covered under a warranty by the printer manufacturer High quality remanufactured ink will match the quality of the original, but not all remanufactured ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results. High quality compatible ink will match the quality of the original, but not all compatible ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results.
What's the difference between ink and toner cartridges?
Ink Cartridges Toner Cartridges
Printer Type Work with inkjet printers Work with laser printers
Material Liquid ink Dry powder
How it works Inkjet printers use a series of nozzles that spray tiny drops of ink directly on the print suface Laser toner printers use static electricity and heat to bond dry toner powder to a page
Commonly used by Casual home users, small business and photographers Large businesses and schools
Number of Pages You Can Print A cartridge's page yield is the estimated number of pages you can print. Page yield is based on 5% page coverage. This means that the quoted page yield is based upon printed pages where only 5% of the page has been imprinted with ink. For example, a short memo has approximately 5% coverage. If you have a cartridge that has a yield of 500 pages, it can print 500 pages of that short memo. If you are printing letters, photos or graphics, your coverage will vary greatly and your page yield will drop significantly.
Cartridge Warranty and Shelf Life Most ink and toner cartridges include a warranty or "best by" date on their box. Remanufactured and compatible ink cartridges can last 12-18 months unopened, and toner cartridges can last up to 3 years.
Cartridge Care and Storage Only open a cartridge when you need it. Opened cartridges will eventually dry out, especially if the protective tape or clip has been removed. If you have an open ink cartridge around and would like to try and prevent it from drying out, place it nozzle side up in a plastic airtight tub. If your cartridge came with protective tape or a clip reapply both before storing. Place a damp cloth or paper towel in the tub, next to the cartridge and keep it stored in a cool, dark place.
