I am a home peritoneal dialysis patient, and I have to use lots of supplies on a daily basis to perform the process. As a result, I also have to throw away the used supplies each day. They cannot be reused. I use Glad Kitchen bags because they can handle an entire week's worth of supplies, without my worrying about the bag's breaking when I take it out of my garbage can. Sometimes, fluid from the dialysis bags remains, and I don't have to worry about the liquid leaking out onto the floor when I remove the bag, either. The drawstrings grip the garbage can well, so the bag doesn't fall in with the weight of the waste. It's one less worry, when I am trying to maintain my delicate health.

I used the Handle Tie bags for years and loved, loved, loved them!! I see now you no longer carry them, which would explain why I can't find them in stores. I am very disappointed. The flex bags are horrible. They are shorter and don't hold as much. Also, they do break! The easy tie bags are worthless because they won't even stay on the trash can. Please bring back the Handle Tie bags.

Garbage

By MarV

from NJ, United States

Comments about Glad Strong 13-gal Tall Kitchen Trash Bags:

These bags are horrible, every one of them splits at the seam without even being loaded up. I have to use 2 bags every time to contain the spill from the first bag. Drawstrings are also pulling apart on occasion. Not what I expected from Glad and a "Guaranteed Strong" bag...

Worthless not as advertised

By Dhasty

Comments about Glad Strong 13-gal Tall Kitchen Trash Bags:

These were decent garbage bags, but now they are junk. Drawstrings aren't attached, bags tear easily, and leak. Won't be buying anymore.

Bad Box of Bags

By SJ38

from Blue Springs, MO, United States

Comments about Glad Strong 13-gal Tall Kitchen Trash Bags:

I have been buying these for years and they are usually worth the price but the last box of two rolls I bought half of the box had holes in them because they didn't seal right from the factory.

Disappointed in this box

By ImaSassy1

Comments about Glad Strong 13-gal Tall Kitchen Trash Bags:

Buy these trash bags on a regular basis. More than half of the bags in this box have drawstrings that pull the channel they're in right open.

Kitchen Drawstring bags (RED strings)

By tpaint

from Rimersburg, PA, United States

Comments about Glad Strong 13-gal Tall Kitchen Trash Bags:

I have used your bags, of all kinds, & liked their reliability but your Red String Kitchen Bags SUCK...... You really must have cheapened them down for as good as they were, they are Junk NOW. The bags gets holes but the worst is that you may as well ADD TWISTERS to tie them shut. Every bag out of this last box I got, has had to been tied with the ties AFTER they pulled off. (even before trying to draw the bag shut. I feel that I'm going to have to find another kitchen bag to use. If you get the problem fixed, drop me a line & I may try them again. Thanks & GOD BLESS.....

Defective bags

By Mari2487

from Houston, TX, United States

Comments about Glad Strong 13-gal Tall Kitchen Trash Bags:

I am a loyal customer of Glad trash bags. For the first time ever I've encountered a problem with a mega pack of 120, 13-gallon bags. Each bag has a problem with the drawstring. Seems the drawstring is partially attached to the bag and when you pull it, the drawstring completely detached from bag. How can I get this box replaced?

Smell sensitive?

By Jcemhar

Comments about Glad Strong 13-gal Tall Kitchen Trash Bags:

I am sorry once again that I purchased Gald trash bags. Most packaging indicates "scented" but not this product. It is scented. I have asthma thus very sensitive to scents. I have complained previously. I won't buy again.

Not very good

By Skonrad

from Goshen, OH, United States

Comments about Glad Strong 13-gal Tall Kitchen Trash Bags:

I bought 2 boxes of 130 13 gallon force flex bags. I am almost done with the first box and every single one has ripped. I do not over fill, actually they are pretty light but today I went to take my bag outside and the whole top ripped off ! I thought they use to have red ties these are black .. All I can say is I feel like I would have been better with generic bags. I try not to say bad things but these are really bad and when you wind up with spaghetti all over you at 5:15 pm after a long day ... So so unhappy , They all seem to be ripping on the white stretchable part. Not sure what is different but I will be opening the other box this week and I am praying that this was just a defective box !

Did the size change?

By Farmcat

from Washington State

Comments about Glad Strong 13-gal Tall Kitchen Trash Bags:

We have used Glad Force Flex tall kitchen bags for years and years. The past 2 boxes have contained bags that are just enough smaller that they will not anchor to the top of the trash can. Extremely aggravating to have to hold the bag so it doesn't slip down inside the can. Why the size change? Hidden price increase?

13 gallon tall kitchen bags

By K9Richins

from Utah, United States

Comments about Glad Strong 13-gal Tall Kitchen Trash Bags:

I do not like your new bags... The draw string tears and makes it very difficult to deal with. While stretching over the garbage can the side seam of the draw string tears (I have not had one bag not tear). Your old style worked much better.

Cartridge Comparison Guide
  • Cartridge Types
  • Ink & Toner Basics
  • Number of Pages & Shelf Life
Cartridge Type
Genuine or OEM (Original) Cartridges Remanufactured Cartridges Compatible Cartridges
Description OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer, meaning the cartridge was made by the same company that made your printer. Original brand cartridges are very reliable and sometimes the only option if your printer is new to market or uncommon. Remanufactured ink is a genuine brand cartridge that has gone through one cycle of use. After use, the cartridge is recycled, acquired by a remanufacturing facility and put through a rigorous professional refurbishing process. During the refurbishing process the cartridge is disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and tested for quality. It's then carefully refilled, tested again and brought back to life. Buying remanufactured prevents one less cartridge from ending up in a landfill. A compatible cartridge is a brand new ink cartridge built by a manufacturer other than your printer. It's like buying the generic version of the genuine brand. Most are uniquely designed to differentiate from genuine cartridges. Despite any structural difference you may notice, the cartridge will still fit in your machine and print a full yield, just like the original brand.
Price Factors Many printer manufacturers follow the razor-and-blades business model which may result in higher priced genuine cartridges. Remanufactured ink is much cheaper than the original brand ink. It's far more cost effective to refurbish a previously used cartridge than create a new OEM from scratch. Compatible ink is much cheaper than the original brand. Compatible suppliers don't have to worry about the additional costs that hinder OEMs like new printers or firmware, which lets them keep prices low.
Quality Original cartridges work extremely well and are covered under a warranty by the printer manufacturer High quality remanufactured ink will match the quality of the original, but not all remanufactured ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results. High quality compatible ink will match the quality of the original, but not all compatible ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results.
What's the difference between ink and toner cartridges?
Ink Cartridges Toner Cartridges
Printer Type Work with inkjet printers Work with laser printers
Material Liquid ink Dry powder
How it works Inkjet printers use a series of nozzles that spray tiny drops of ink directly on the print suface Laser toner printers use static electricity and heat to bond dry toner powder to a page
Commonly used by Casual home users, small business and photographers Large businesses and schools
Number of Pages You Can Print A cartridge's page yield is the estimated number of pages you can print. Page yield is based on 5% page coverage. This means that the quoted page yield is based upon printed pages where only 5% of the page has been imprinted with ink. For example, a short memo has approximately 5% coverage. If you have a cartridge that has a yield of 500 pages, it can print 500 pages of that short memo. If you are printing letters, photos or graphics, your coverage will vary greatly and your page yield will drop significantly.
Cartridge Warranty and Shelf Life Most ink and toner cartridges include a warranty or "best by" date on their box. Remanufactured and compatible ink cartridges can last 12-18 months unopened, and toner cartridges can last up to 3 years.
Cartridge Care and Storage Only open a cartridge when you need it. Opened cartridges will eventually dry out, especially if the protective tape or clip has been removed. If you have an open ink cartridge around and would like to try and prevent it from drying out, place it nozzle side up in a plastic airtight tub. If your cartridge came with protective tape or a clip reapply both before storing. Place a damp cloth or paper towel in the tub, next to the cartridge and keep it stored in a cool, dark place.
