worst bag ever

It leaks. When you try to pull it out of a full trash can it rips on the sides. This is the worst trash bag I've ever purchased from Glad.

not up to your standards

Comments about Glad ForceFlex 30-gal Trash Bags Mega Pack:

I bought this box of trash bags and I was shocked at the poor quality of this bag. I will not ever buy this kind again. I have used just 5-6 bags and each one tore just unfolding the to use it. Then paper plates even tore the bag. Also the top of the bag tried to come off from about 6-8 inches down. Now I am stuck with an almost full box of trash bags.

usually an excellent product

Comments about Glad ForceFlex 30-gal Trash Bags Mega Pack:

I buy the thirty gallon size. I use these bags exclusively. The low rating is due to the current box I have. So far I have used 7 bags out of a 25 bag box and the draw string portion separates from the body of the bag. I don't mean it tears It's like they are cut already. This happens when opening the bag to place in container,

What a huge disappointment!

Comments about Glad ForceFlex 30-gal Trash Bags Mega Pack:

I've used the Glad ForceFlex 30 gal size bags in my can for years and until today have always pleased with the performance. Bags always fit and I've never had a failure. My can is a somewhat standard Rubbermaid Brute 32 gallon. I've been using it and Glad bag liners for over 10 years. Now however your new Dual Defense bags DON'T FIT MY CAN ANYMORE! Generally I'm a fan of brand loyalty as I dislike change. I shouldn't have to use a contractor or lawn and leaf bag for this standard residential application. Nor should I need to migrate to a completing brand. I am SO SORRY that I bought the large box of 50 but I PROMISE I'll NEVER do that again. I'm sure I'll find a use for the other 49 bags in the box but I'll also find a bag manufactured by a competing brand that suits my need. I'll also be looking to replace any and all other items listed under the Clorox label that I use regularly. Goodbye to Kingsford, Pine-Sol, Hidden Valley, Tilex, SOS and 409.

Terrible!!!

Comments about Glad ForceFlex 30-gal Trash Bags Mega Pack:

We've gotten 2 boxes of these, in case the first was a 'lemon'. It wasn't. These bags tear EXTREMELY easily, they do not have the forceflex stretch that they claim to have, and the "garbage juice" leaks from all parts of the bags. We live in the basement and have to carry the trash upstairs and through the house to get to the garage. It's absolutely disgusting! Very disappointed with these flimsy bags.

Disappointing Trash Bag

By cowgirl9872

from Pennsylvania, United States

Comments about Glad ForceFlex 30-gal Trash Bags Mega Pack:

These bags are like paper. I thought with dual defense they would be thicker than the forceflex ones I normally use. Now I am stuck with a large container of them and have to use them. They don't even stand up to pulling them out of the trash can and they rip.

What happened to quality?

Comments about Glad ForceFlex 30-gal Trash Bags Mega Pack:

We had used the original ForceFlex at our resort for years. We swore by it and were willing to pay the higher cost to get a great product. Now unfortunately all we do is swear at these new bags. We buy trash bags 6 boxes at a time. We went through the first box thinking that it must have been a bad batch, wrong. The kitchen bags you make are stronger than these. I am very disappointed in the fact that you as a company are willing to reduce your standards to such a level. Please let me know if you ever bring back too original ForceFlex. Until then, I will be looking for something that works. Maybe I should try Hefty.

Horrible product

By None

from Texas, United States

Comments about Glad ForceFlex 30-gal Trash Bags Mega Pack:

I agree with the other reviewers. These bags are not strong at all. They rip when you put things in them and the drawstrings rip right out when you try to tighten them. They use two layers of plastic but they are both thin and will tear before they "flex". Note that their response to all the other reviews is that they are sorry and invite reviewers to call them. Just a canned response. Glad - there's no reason for us to call you. Your product is totally inferior. What we would like to see in your response is what are you going to do to correct the problem. Sure hope I can still find the old black flex bags that worked so well!

Comments about Glad ForceFlex 30-gal Trash Bags Mega Pack:

I've used 30 gallon forceflex bags since they came out. almost never had a tear through. My wife bought these new dual defense bags and every one has had several tear throughs. I mean you can read through the plastic it's so thin. The only reason I gave them one star is there is no provision for no stars. We have been unable to find the original black ForceFlex bags since these came out. I hope you saved a ton of money making these cheapo's because if other customers have the same experiences I have you'll be loosing them as customers. You had a great product and have really screwed it up this time. Sincerely Pat Myers

Cartridge Comparison Guide
  • Cartridge Types
  • Ink & Toner Basics
  • Number of Pages & Shelf Life
Cartridge Type
Genuine or OEM (Original) Cartridges Remanufactured Cartridges Compatible Cartridges
Description OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer, meaning the cartridge was made by the same company that made your printer. Original brand cartridges are very reliable and sometimes the only option if your printer is new to market or uncommon. Remanufactured ink is a genuine brand cartridge that has gone through one cycle of use. After use, the cartridge is recycled, acquired by a remanufacturing facility and put through a rigorous professional refurbishing process. During the refurbishing process the cartridge is disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and tested for quality. It's then carefully refilled, tested again and brought back to life. Buying remanufactured prevents one less cartridge from ending up in a landfill. A compatible cartridge is a brand new ink cartridge built by a manufacturer other than your printer. It's like buying the generic version of the genuine brand. Most are uniquely designed to differentiate from genuine cartridges. Despite any structural difference you may notice, the cartridge will still fit in your machine and print a full yield, just like the original brand.
Price Factors Many printer manufacturers follow the razor-and-blades business model which may result in higher priced genuine cartridges. Remanufactured ink is much cheaper than the original brand ink. It's far more cost effective to refurbish a previously used cartridge than create a new OEM from scratch. Compatible ink is much cheaper than the original brand. Compatible suppliers don't have to worry about the additional costs that hinder OEMs like new printers or firmware, which lets them keep prices low.
Quality Original cartridges work extremely well and are covered under a warranty by the printer manufacturer High quality remanufactured ink will match the quality of the original, but not all remanufactured ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results. High quality compatible ink will match the quality of the original, but not all compatible ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results.
What's the difference between ink and toner cartridges?
Ink Cartridges Toner Cartridges
Printer Type Work with inkjet printers Work with laser printers
Material Liquid ink Dry powder
How it works Inkjet printers use a series of nozzles that spray tiny drops of ink directly on the print suface Laser toner printers use static electricity and heat to bond dry toner powder to a page
Commonly used by Casual home users, small business and photographers Large businesses and schools
Number of Pages You Can Print A cartridge's page yield is the estimated number of pages you can print. Page yield is based on 5% page coverage. This means that the quoted page yield is based upon printed pages where only 5% of the page has been imprinted with ink. For example, a short memo has approximately 5% coverage. If you have a cartridge that has a yield of 500 pages, it can print 500 pages of that short memo. If you are printing letters, photos or graphics, your coverage will vary greatly and your page yield will drop significantly.
Cartridge Warranty and Shelf Life Most ink and toner cartridges include a warranty or "best by" date on their box. Remanufactured and compatible ink cartridges can last 12-18 months unopened, and toner cartridges can last up to 3 years.
Cartridge Care and Storage Only open a cartridge when you need it. Opened cartridges will eventually dry out, especially if the protective tape or clip has been removed. If you have an open ink cartridge around and would like to try and prevent it from drying out, place it nozzle side up in a plastic airtight tub. If your cartridge came with protective tape or a clip reapply both before storing. Place a damp cloth or paper towel in the tub, next to the cartridge and keep it stored in a cool, dark place.
