I purchased this phone for my parents, who are both in their 80's. They love the large, well-lit buttons and display. They are also impressed with the excellent sound, including a nice, loud volume. They were simply amazed by the talking caller ID, which they had never experienced before! I set the phone up for them, have used it often and can confirm their comments, especially the sound. The ringer volume is great, as is the speakerphone volume. The handset equalizer and clarity boost both enhance the sound of the caller on the other end. The only drawback we noticed is the maximum digits for a phone book entry is 24, whereas their older Panasonic phone stored 32, which allowed them to store a full calling card number plus the phone number in one entry. Now they have to perform an extra step to first select the calling card number from the phone book and then select the number to call from a separate phone book entry. Not too big of a deal, but they had to learn/make the extra step. Overall, the phone is outstanding. It is such a nice phone that I plan on replacing my own older Panasonic phone (model KX-TG5672) with this new model!

The deal breaker here was the phone only transmits about 40 feet, Other cordless phones sitting in the same spot will transmit a good 80-100 feet. Seriously, if your going to manufacture a phone to transmit such a short distance why would you put an intercom feature on it......your grandma can yell farther than this can transmit. Also the phone has an annoying "pop" sound when I talk to someone else that the person on the other end does not hear. Yet this "pop" sound isn't heard when using the intercom feature. Switch to a different phone and the "pop" is gone so its the Panasonic phone. I returned this for a refund.

Needed to replace my old, very reliable, excellent Pana so I opted for this one which now allows us to have an extension in guest house and be able to intercom between them. Works great, couldn't be happier.

Comments about Panasonic KX-TGD222N Duo Cordless Phone:

The phone replaced an earlier Panasonic two station model that we had for 4-5 years. The older phone simply wore out. The new phone replacing it, had all the older features but with a larger screen and some nice additions. We were very pleased with the purchase and it was easy to program and worked from installation.

Comments about Panasonic KX-TGD222N Duo Cordless Phone:

It has been about 3 months now with the new Panasonic # KX-TG6592T phone and we still like it. We like the voice announcements of who is calling along with the ring of a new call. The sound quality of people talking is crisp and clear. The caller ID works well no issues, the battery life has not let us down yet, we can talk along time and still have battery life left before we set it back into the stand. The only issue we have is the answering machine does not indicate the number of messages, it just blinks letting you know there is a message. So I would recommend this phone to my friends.

real test will come when I buy this with the 5 handsets in another house then I will be able to tell whether it really works since the rooms where the handsets are will be a bit far from the home base.

Comments about Panasonic KX-TGD222N Duo Cordless Phone:

It was simple to install and so far has been a big success. There may be many features that the person using the phone will never need but for now he's happy to be reconnected to the world. I also appreciated the online help I received when searching for the product, and also for the phone contact when I had problems with payment details. Even if they all call themselves Jessica! Panasonic products have always been of steady high quality, ever since my first answering machin in the 1990s and followed my instincts when choosing a phone for my elderly father. I was right.

Purchased this phone for my parents who insist on having a home phone. They love it! My Dad has a hard time hearing (who won't admit it might be time for a hearing aid) but finds this phone easy to hear the other people on it. Very pleased with this product I would highly recommend.

2 Bad things: 1- the 3 buttons under the screen (for PhBK+ Menu+ Redial) are in BLACK rubber on a BLACK handset; how can one see them?? we had to put a bright sticker on the middle button ( Menu) 2- the screen light is poorly designed: the last lIne ( FULLY CHARGED or MISSED CALL) has a BLACK background- making it hard to read- we have to use a lamp.

Description OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer, meaning the cartridge was made by the same company that made your printer. Original brand cartridges are very reliable and sometimes the only option if your printer is new to market or uncommon. Remanufactured ink is a genuine brand cartridge that has gone through one cycle of use. After use, the cartridge is recycled, acquired by a remanufacturing facility and put through a rigorous professional refurbishing process. During the refurbishing process the cartridge is disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and tested for quality. It's then carefully refilled, tested again and brought back to life. Buying remanufactured prevents one less cartridge from ending up in a landfill. A compatible cartridge is a brand new ink cartridge built by a manufacturer other than your printer. It's like buying the generic version of the genuine brand. Most are uniquely designed to differentiate from genuine cartridges. Despite any structural difference you may notice, the cartridge will still fit in your machine and print a full yield, just like the original brand.
Price Factors Many printer manufacturers follow the razor-and-blades business model which may result in higher priced genuine cartridges. Remanufactured ink is much cheaper than the original brand ink. It's far more cost effective to refurbish a previously used cartridge than create a new OEM from scratch. Compatible ink is much cheaper than the original brand. Compatible suppliers don't have to worry about the additional costs that hinder OEMs like new printers or firmware, which lets them keep prices low.
Quality Original cartridges work extremely well and are covered under a warranty by the printer manufacturer High quality remanufactured ink will match the quality of the original, but not all remanufactured ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results. High quality compatible ink will match the quality of the original, but not all compatible ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results.
What's the difference between ink and toner cartridges?
                                  Ink Cartridges Toner Cartridges

How it works Inkjet printers use a series of nozzles that spray tiny drops of ink directly on the print suface Laser toner printers use static electricity and heat to bond dry toner powder to a page

Number of Pages You Can Print A cartridge's page yield is the estimated number of pages you can print. Page yield is based on 5% page coverage. This means that the quoted page yield is based upon printed pages where only 5% of the page has been imprinted with ink. For example, a short memo has approximately 5% coverage. If you have a cartridge that has a yield of 500 pages, it can print 500 pages of that short memo. If you are printing letters, photos or graphics, your coverage will vary greatly and your page yield will drop significantly.
Cartridge Warranty and Shelf Life Most ink and toner cartridges include a warranty or "best by" date on their box. Remanufactured and compatible ink cartridges can last 12-18 months unopened, and toner cartridges can last up to 3 years.
Cartridge Care and Storage Only open a cartridge when you need it. Opened cartridges will eventually dry out, especially if the protective tape or clip has been removed. If you have an open ink cartridge around and would like to try and prevent it from drying out, place it nozzle side up in a plastic airtight tub. If your cartridge came with protective tape or a clip reapply both before storing. Place a damp cloth or paper towel in the tub, next to the cartridge and keep it stored in a cool, dark place.
