I purchased this Blu-ray player and audio system just over a year ago, along with a Samsung 40" LCD TV (630 Series) for my apartment. My verdict: I love this entertainment system! It is a great deal. The audio sounds great and the size of the system is perfect for an apartment like mine. It easily fills the place with great audio, all while taking up very little space. I also love how the system integrates with my Samsung TV. I simply connected them and the Anynet+ software did the rest auto-magically. With this system, I don't even bother with cable. I just use the Netflix and Hulu+ apps for TV and some movies, and rent other movies online using the VUDU app. The Blu-ray quality (either from online streaming of VUDU or Netflix, or by playing a Blu-ray disc) is excellent, both in picture quality sent to my TV and the audio on the included speakers. Additionally, it came with a dock that I pretty much keep my iPod parked in. I now use this audio system to listen to music (as I said before, the sound easily fills my entire apartment without the popping, crackling or clipping of an overtaxed sound system). I've also used the SmartHub software on the Blu-ray player to show photo slide shows from my android device. It also comes with an antenna to pick up regular FM radio. Since there's a local station I like (Classical 89.1 in Utah) I can vouch for this feature as well, though the user interface for it could be improved (you have to go to the "Function: Change the audio/video input source" section and from there select "Tuner", and once selected, the AnyNet+ software shuts off so my TV disconnects and I can't use the user interface until I manually select the HDMI port for input on my TV). Seriously, this product, paired with a Samsung TV like mine is such a great deal. You won't get this level of quality for this price anywhere else.

so wait...is 2012, stil..got this for Christmas and for my understanding-using and reading all the reviews out there 1 .apps are to SLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOwwwwww overall there is almost everwhere lack. if u push the bottom it takes time to load change whever.. unacceptable in 2012/13, sp if u have kids. 2.the remote you get is annoying dont know where top or bottom and you have to basically point at that thing in order to change...now try that with glass-doors or a full table. 3.i have to uninstall apps in order to install new ones bec the memory is to low. WHAT come again. just fire whoever is responsible.. great sound looks great but the speed and memory is a no go for me....i wish i could keep it going to return asap thu for not even trying!

    Comments about Samsung HT-H4500 5.1 3D Home Theater System - 500 W RMS - Blu-ray Disc Player:

While I bought this system to replace my older Samsung 5-DVD home theater system, there are several things which I do not like about it. The first is there are no headphone jacks. As someone who likes to watch TV or play video games at all hours of the night, this stinks. There is a blue tooth feature but unlike cell phones which do a search for nearby blue tooth devices, this system does not have that. Another thing - connecting to the internet. There is no facility for linking into a wireless network. It's like the people who designed this system are living in the past when wireless didn't exist. Thank God I have a smart TV. On the whole the system has excellent sound, but it lacks features that are important to me. If I had to do it all over again, I would have bought something else.

Product only lasted for approximately a year before it quit operating. This however does not lower my expectations of other Sansung products which I have found to be of the highest quality.

Small speaker design is great and non-intrusive into any decor. The sound that comes out of the small speakers is amazing. The picture quality is just as awesome as the sound. The apps and ability to stream music and movies makes this an all around package. The only downside is there is no wifi, an ethernet cable is required which can be a plus sometimes. Overall a definite recommend, especially for the price.

                Comments about Samsung HT-H4500 5.1 3D Home Theater System - 500 W RMS - Blu-ray Disc Player:

Set-up: 1. I didn't want to replace my existing speakers, so since this system has specific speaker connectors, I had to splice them onto my existing wires. It sounds great with my existing speakers, though. 2. GOOD NEWS for internet networking! I was able to patch the ethernet into my second ethernet port on my DVR - no painful network cord running. 3. Super easy to connect and stream from my phone or laptop. 4. Be sure to use the optical cord option for connecting a component (my DVR) instead of the typical auxiliary audio cord (red & white connectors), otherwise you won't get full surround. 5. Not sure why the DSP/EQ button doesn't work - I have a Samsung TV, but it's not 'smart', so that may be the issue. Functionality and quality: 1. The video streaming apps run flawlessly. Love it! 2. Display on the unit itself is dim, it’s kind of an issue if you’re across the room. 3. The unit is a nice style and slim. It feels a bit fragile though - maybe because it's so lightweight. 4. The interface is easy to use. HOWEVER, It’s not initially intuitive where to change the input from blu-ray/home apps to an external component (my DVR) though. Maybe it should be labeled ‘source’, ‘component’, or something similar rather than ‘function’. Function doesn’t obviously correlate. 5. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT: Cannot surf the net or access cloud storage. With all the streaming and networking capabilities, you'd think this was an easy/obvious include. Overall I'm happy with my new system!

I just got this today and set it up but only 1 speaker working. I tried to swap the speakers and connections still not working. I tried to play it on dvd/bluray and TV, same result, only 1 speaker working and the subwoofer. I am returning it tomorrow and will try the other model. I like samsung but this 1 isn't working.

Description OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer, meaning the cartridge was made by the same company that made your printer. Original brand cartridges are very reliable and sometimes the only option if your printer is new to market or uncommon. Remanufactured ink is a genuine brand cartridge that has gone through one cycle of use. After use, the cartridge is recycled, acquired by a remanufacturing facility and put through a rigorous professional refurbishing process. During the refurbishing process the cartridge is disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and tested for quality. It's then carefully refilled, tested again and brought back to life. Buying remanufactured prevents one less cartridge from ending up in a landfill. A compatible cartridge is a brand new ink cartridge built by a manufacturer other than your printer. It's like buying the generic version of the genuine brand. Most are uniquely designed to differentiate from genuine cartridges. Despite any structural difference you may notice, the cartridge will still fit in your machine and print a full yield, just like the original brand.
Price Factors Many printer manufacturers follow the razor-and-blades business model which may result in higher priced genuine cartridges. Remanufactured ink is much cheaper than the original brand ink. It's far more cost effective to refurbish a previously used cartridge than create a new OEM from scratch. Compatible ink is much cheaper than the original brand. Compatible suppliers don't have to worry about the additional costs that hinder OEMs like new printers or firmware, which lets them keep prices low.
Quality Original cartridges work extremely well and are covered under a warranty by the printer manufacturer High quality remanufactured ink will match the quality of the original, but not all remanufactured ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results. High quality compatible ink will match the quality of the original, but not all compatible ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results.
What's the difference between ink and toner cartridges?
                              Ink Cartridges Toner Cartridges
Printer Type Work with inkjet printers Work with laser printers

How it works Inkjet printers use a series of nozzles that spray tiny drops of ink directly on the print suface Laser toner printers use static electricity and heat to bond dry toner powder to a page
Commonly used by Casual home users, small business and photographers Large businesses and schools
Number of Pages You Can Print A cartridge's page yield is the estimated number of pages you can print. Page yield is based on 5% page coverage. This means that the quoted page yield is based upon printed pages where only 5% of the page has been imprinted with ink. For example, a short memo has approximately 5% coverage. If you have a cartridge that has a yield of 500 pages, it can print 500 pages of that short memo. If you are printing letters, photos or graphics, your coverage will vary greatly and your page yield will drop significantly.
Cartridge Warranty and Shelf Life Most ink and toner cartridges include a warranty or "best by" date on their box. Remanufactured and compatible ink cartridges can last 12-18 months unopened, and toner cartridges can last up to 3 years.
Cartridge Care and Storage Only open a cartridge when you need it. Opened cartridges will eventually dry out, especially if the protective tape or clip has been removed. If you have an open ink cartridge around and would like to try and prevent it from drying out, place it nozzle side up in a plastic airtight tub. If your cartridge came with protective tape or a clip reapply both before storing. Place a damp cloth or paper towel in the tub, next to the cartridge and keep it stored in a cool, dark place.
