l have just bought my printer Epson xp 620 it came with ink cartridge's but they don't hold much are the ones you sell the bigger ones or the same as mine thanks
Asked on 2/5/2015 by ferg from Warragul VIC 3820, Australia

    1 answer

    • A:

Typically the cartridges that come installed with new printers are considered “starter cartridges” and normally have very little ink in them. Our cartridges have much more ink and would be considered “high yield” cartridges with an estimated page yield of 650* based on a 5% page coverage.

  • Remanufactured 273XL 5 Piece Set of Ink Cartridges for Epson

    Q:

will the printer recognize these cartridges

I've read experiences were the cartridge is not recognized or its date stamp is deemed "expired" and will not allow the printer to function. Do you guarantee that these cartridges will be recognized? Also, my cartridges are numbered as follow: BK 273, C273, Y273, M273, and PBK273. The above package has the 273XL numenclature but it has different numbers that I do not recognize following the "XL", are they for my XP-610 Epson printer?
    Thanks
Asked on 1/4/2015 by RC from U.S.A.

    1 answer

    • A:

These T273XL series cartridges will work in your Epson XP-610 printer. These are our high yield cartridges, meaning they contain the most ink, that work just like the original Epson cartridges. The reason you see a difference in the cartridge number is because the ones you currently have are the standard yield cartridges, the number will be different between the two. The XL means High Yield, more ink for printing.

  • Remanufactured 273XL Photo Black Ink Cartridge for Epson

    Q:

Why is this cartridge flagged as non-Epson by the printer when the others are not?

I have replaced HY C, Y, M cartridges in my Epson XP-810 with your remanufactured cartridges. They have been recognized as Epson and functions such as ink level information work correctly.

However, when I replaced the large HY BK cartridge with one of your remanufactured cartridges, the printer flagged it as non-Epson, gave me dire warnings, and required me to confirm I was willing to take the risk.

Right away I am getting warnings that the BK ink level is low, and it shows as almost empty.

Is this how you expect this cartridge to work? If so, why do you not provide a warning prior to purchase? If not, then the cartridge is apparently defective, and I would like a replacement please.

Also, although I cannot be 100% sure this happened immediately after replacing the large HY BK cartridge, the print head test is now showing a 5 mm horizontal white band about 15 mm down in the two BK columns; the four color columns are fine. Print head cleaning and re-powering the printer make no difference. Is there any explanation for this other than a faulty large HY BK ink cartridge?

    Thank you
Asked on 8/8/2014 by KRDH from Arizona

    1 answer

    • A:

Are you using the T273XL020RIC HY black cartridge? Unfortunately if the print head cleaning did not resolve the quality problem then it could be a defective cartridge. If the cartridge is not demonstrating the proper ink levels then it could have a chip that has not been reset. This is normal for most remanufactured cartridges along with the printer showing that warning message. Epson, like so many other manufacturers have software installed that can recognize when you are not using their own original cartridge. We have a 1 year warranty on our cartridges however this T273XL020RIC cartridge is currently on back order. Can you please call in at 888-321-2552 to receive further help?

    Q:

This item seems to be back-ordered much of the time; when will it be available again?

This item seems to be back-ordered much of the time.

    (1) When will it be available again? (Presumably you can get an estimate from the factory.)

    (2) Why can't I ask to be emailed when it becomes available again? (I seem to remember that LD Products used to offer this service.)

    (3) Why don't LD Products order larger quantities when this item is available to avoid the back-order situation?

I have been very pleased with LD Products' service and products other than this item, but this back-order problem is causing me to reluctantly consider giving my business to an LD Products competitor. Please address this problem quickly and permanently!

I've been buying from 4inkjet for years. Experience with different printer inks has mostly been good. In this latest example, first of three of black ink I bought for Epson XP-800 leaked more than others have in the past. Fortunately, it all leaked onto desk instead of carpet. Obviously, I'll be more attentive and careful next time; I'm just saying this one cartridge leaked more than any other I've ever bought in past from 4inkjets. Will, of course, remain a customer. Thanks again for delivering GREAT value.

I ordered 3 photo black and 3 black replacement cartridges. So far 2 out of 6 of these have been bad. One is being misread(?) by the printer as empty even though it appears to be full, I had to use one of your other cartridges in my printer in order for the printer to operate. It would not operate with the erroneous cartridge messages being signaled to my printer. Another replacement cartridge is being accepted by the printer even though the printer is indicating what appear to be erroneous and nonsensical diagnostic messages.

Comments about Remanufactured 273XL 11 Piece Set of Ink Cartridges for Epson:

Black didn't work well at all with my printer. I purchased two black cartridges; ended up throwing both away and going back to the more expensive Epson ink. I also purchased, but haven't tried, the color cartridges yet.
Although the price is good, it's a waste if they don't work well. I wouldn't buy these again.

I have never before ordered anything online. When I placed my order, I was given a delivery date and thought I would have to just wait and see. My order arrived the day I was told it would arrive. After installing the cartridges in my printer, they have exceeded my expectations. I, in the future would feel very confident placing another order with them. Would I recommend telling others about the service, YOU BET I WILL!!
THANK YOU. RON

Comments about Remanufactured 273XL 11 Piece Set of Ink Cartridges for Epson:

I use this product to make my printer work. If the -- -- is out of one color, it won't even print black and white documents. Talk about prissy. And Staples gives me a hassel as well as a high price, just like Epson gives me a high price for ink cartridges. And then I found this place by some miracle of the internet. I asked myself, what do I have to lose? So, I placed an order, and it arrived faster than Jeanie the Genie! And I opened the box, got the yellow ink cartridge out, put it in the -- --, and finally the printer began printing in black and white, just what I'd been trying to make it do for a few weeks. I hope this place sends me email reminders that they have the ink I need from now on into the future. Thank you.

Cartridge Comparison Guide
  • Cartridge Types
  • Ink & Toner Basics
  • Number of Pages & Shelf Life
Cartridge Type
Genuine or OEM (Original) Cartridges Remanufactured Cartridges Compatible Cartridges
Description OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer, meaning the cartridge was made by the same company that made your printer. Original brand cartridges are very reliable and sometimes the only option if your printer is new to market or uncommon. Remanufactured ink is a genuine brand cartridge that has gone through one cycle of use. After use, the cartridge is recycled, acquired by a remanufacturing facility and put through a rigorous professional refurbishing process. During the refurbishing process the cartridge is disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and tested for quality. It's then carefully refilled, tested again and brought back to life. Buying remanufactured prevents one less cartridge from ending up in a landfill. A compatible cartridge is a brand new ink cartridge built by a manufacturer other than your printer. It's like buying the generic version of the genuine brand. Most are uniquely designed to differentiate from genuine cartridges. Despite any structural difference you may notice, the cartridge will still fit in your machine and print a full yield, just like the original brand.
Price Factors Many printer manufacturers follow the razor-and-blades business model which may result in higher priced genuine cartridges. Remanufactured ink is much cheaper than the original brand ink. It's far more cost effective to refurbish a previously used cartridge than create a new OEM from scratch. Compatible ink is much cheaper than the original brand. Compatible suppliers don't have to worry about the additional costs that hinder OEMs like new printers or firmware, which lets them keep prices low.
Quality Original cartridges work extremely well and are covered under a warranty by the printer manufacturer High quality remanufactured ink will match the quality of the original, but not all remanufactured ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results. High quality compatible ink will match the quality of the original, but not all compatible ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results.
What's the difference between ink and toner cartridges?
Ink Cartridges Toner Cartridges
Printer Type Work with inkjet printers Work with laser printers
Material Liquid ink Dry powder
How it works Inkjet printers use a series of nozzles that spray tiny drops of ink directly on the print suface Laser toner printers use static electricity and heat to bond dry toner powder to a page
Commonly used by Casual home users, small business and photographers Large businesses and schools
Number of Pages You Can Print A cartridge's page yield is the estimated number of pages you can print. Page yield is based on 5% page coverage. This means that the quoted page yield is based upon printed pages where only 5% of the page has been imprinted with ink. For example, a short memo has approximately 5% coverage. If you have a cartridge that has a yield of 500 pages, it can print 500 pages of that short memo. If you are printing letters, photos or graphics, your coverage will vary greatly and your page yield will drop significantly.
Cartridge Warranty and Shelf Life Most ink and toner cartridges include a warranty or "best by" date on their box. Remanufactured and compatible ink cartridges can last 12-18 months unopened, and toner cartridges can last up to 3 years.
Cartridge Care and Storage Only open a cartridge when you need it. Opened cartridges will eventually dry out, especially if the protective tape or clip has been removed. If you have an open ink cartridge around and would like to try and prevent it from drying out, place it nozzle side up in a plastic airtight tub. If your cartridge came with protective tape or a clip reapply both before storing. Place a damp cloth or paper towel in the tub, next to the cartridge and keep it stored in a cool, dark place.
