I bought three of these cartridges but have not yet used them so can't comment on performance. What I can say is that while they are described as 220 ml cartridges, their exterior dimensions are the same as the OEM 110 ml cartridges. I could not measure interior capacity, but the external volume is over 300 ml. These "220 ml" cartridges are heavier than OEM 110 ml cartridge but not as heavy as a OEM 220 ml. Conclusion: these "220 ml" cartridges, even though they look just like 110 ml cartridges, could well contain 220 ml of ink. One advantages of the smaller form factor is that the cartridges doors on an Epson 4000 printer can remain closed instead of hanging open as they must with OEM sized 220 ml cartridges. If performance proves to be satisfactory, then I can recommend them.

Non-OEM 220ml inks for Epson 4000

Comments about Compatible T544800A Matte Black Ink for Epson:

I recently reordered ink cartridges for my 4000 Epson printer, instead of writing individual reviews, I am putting them all under this one review.

I have always been extremely finicky about my color prints, I create my own profiles and tweak them to get what I consider the best color for the people who purchase my prints.

I have to say after using the different ink colors in the 8 color Epson 4000 printer, I see no difference in color from the OEM inks. I introduced one cartridge at a time as the OEM cartridge ran out and I kept using the same profile and never saw a difference, grants did could be very subtle, but I have older prints to compare newly printed images and I see no difference.

This inks are in simplest in terms, a God Send, because at the great value LP are selling these inks I can afford to keep a reasonable supply of inks on hand, something that was just not feasible with the OEM ink cartridges.

If you have an Epson 4000 printer, I highly recommend giving these inks a try, you will not be sorry at all.

Service and delivery comments:

I requested a two day delivery and I received the inks on time at the time I needed them, I could not ask for better delivery service. Plus the cartridges were well packaged if not a touch over protected, which I consider an excellent touch.

REM Epson T5444 (Y) for an EPSON 7600

Comments about Remanufactured T5444 Yellow Ink Cartridge for Epson:

Ink Carttidge installed no problem and the printer recognized it as a fill cartridge. Ran nozzle check test prints and maintenance cycles w/o problems. Only caveat at the moment is- that I have not been able to do and color tests to see if there has been a shift in color due to the ink change. I have not been able due 2 print head clogs in black and magenta that I am working on at the moment. Placing the order, and shipping was fast and timely. I will use again. Maybe even order black and magenta and paint. the h*ll out of that print head.

LD inks for the Epson 4000 printer

Comments about Remanufactured T5442 Cyan Ink Cartridge for Epson:

I was very suspect of "off brand" inks, but I thought as the OEM 4000 printer inks started becoming harder to locate locally, always having to be ordered, I'd give LD a chance. I am very particular about my color as I do my own color profiles. I introduced each of the LD ink color cartridges as the OEM cartridges ran out. I can honestly say the colors have stayed consistent as there was no color change at all. What I printed months ago matches exactly what I have been printing using LD inks. My profiles did not have to be redone. SO not only am I saving money on over priced ink cartridges, but my color stays the same. My only question is this, is the ink as archival as the OEM inks. I can only surmise that LD in acquiring or creating the inks are matching the OEM inks in every respect including being archival. I am hoping that someone besides a sales person will contact me concerning the archival qualities. Based upon what I have experienced to date, I highly recommend these inks. My only issue is I wish LD would accept the old cartridges being returned to them easily, as I have tried to go thru who they recommend and that is a PIA to do as they suggest.

Comments about Remanufactured T5444 Yellow Ink Cartridge for Epson:

Received cartridge resently. Packaging was good. However, the cartridge has a number 19 on the front label. I've had numerous problems with this apparent supplier when installing in my Epson 7600 printer. Many times I've got a "set ink cartridge" message when installed. I will advise as to situation when I need to install. Hopefully there will not be any further quality problems.

Comments about Remanufactured Epson T544600 Light Magenta Pigment Inkjet Cartridge:

I've used replacement inks from a different manufacturer for my Epson PRO 4000, but I've found so far that the cartridge from 4inkjets is so much better. It feels and seems to operate much more closely like a product from Epson. So far I am very satisfied with this product.

    Cartridge Comparison Guide
    • Cartridge Types
    • Ink & Toner Basics
    • Number of Pages & Shelf Life
    Cartridge Type
Genuine or OEM (Original) Cartridges Remanufactured Cartridges Compatible Cartridges
Description OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer, meaning the cartridge was made by the same company that made your printer. Original brand cartridges are very reliable and sometimes the only option if your printer is new to market or uncommon. Remanufactured ink is a genuine brand cartridge that has gone through one cycle of use. After use, the cartridge is recycled, acquired by a remanufacturing facility and put through a rigorous professional refurbishing process. During the refurbishing process the cartridge is disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and tested for quality. It's then carefully refilled, tested again and brought back to life. Buying remanufactured prevents one less cartridge from ending up in a landfill. A compatible cartridge is a brand new ink cartridge built by a manufacturer other than your printer. It's like buying the generic version of the genuine brand. Most are uniquely designed to differentiate from genuine cartridges. Despite any structural difference you may notice, the cartridge will still fit in your machine and print a full yield, just like the original brand.
Price Factors Many printer manufacturers follow the razor-and-blades business model which may result in higher priced genuine cartridges. Remanufactured ink is much cheaper than the original brand ink. It's far more cost effective to refurbish a previously used cartridge than create a new OEM from scratch. Compatible ink is much cheaper than the original brand. Compatible suppliers don't have to worry about the additional costs that hinder OEMs like new printers or firmware, which lets them keep prices low.
Quality Original cartridges work extremely well and are covered under a warranty by the printer manufacturer High quality remanufactured ink will match the quality of the original, but not all remanufactured ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results. High quality compatible ink will match the quality of the original, but not all compatible ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results.
What's the difference between ink and toner cartridges?
    Ink Cartridges Toner Cartridges
Printer Type Work with inkjet printers Work with laser printers
    Material Liquid ink Dry powder
How it works Inkjet printers use a series of nozzles that spray tiny drops of ink directly on the print suface Laser toner printers use static electricity and heat to bond dry toner powder to a page
Commonly used by Casual home users, small business and photographers Large businesses and schools
Number of Pages You Can Print A cartridge's page yield is the estimated number of pages you can print. Page yield is based on 5% page coverage. This means that the quoted page yield is based upon printed pages where only 5% of the page has been imprinted with ink. For example, a short memo has approximately 5% coverage. If you have a cartridge that has a yield of 500 pages, it can print 500 pages of that short memo. If you are printing letters, photos or graphics, your coverage will vary greatly and your page yield will drop significantly.
Cartridge Warranty and Shelf Life Most ink and toner cartridges include a warranty or "best by" date on their box. Remanufactured and compatible ink cartridges can last 12-18 months unopened, and toner cartridges can last up to 3 years.
Cartridge Care and Storage Only open a cartridge when you need it. Opened cartridges will eventually dry out, especially if the protective tape or clip has been removed. If you have an open ink cartridge around and would like to try and prevent it from drying out, place it nozzle side up in a plastic airtight tub. If your cartridge came with protective tape or a clip reapply both before storing. Place a damp cloth or paper towel in the tub, next to the cartridge and keep it stored in a cool, dark place.
