Comparatively, the TN760 is a high yield toner cartridge that contains more toner powder and prints approximately 3,000 pages. If the bar is blank, it means the toner levels are completely depleted and it\u2019s time to replace your cartridge.\u00a0 If the bar is black, you can keep printing with your cartridge.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<hr \/>\r\n<h4>Installing a Brother TN-730 \/ TN-760 Toner Cartridge<\/h4>\r\n<p>If you didn&#8217;t catch our installation video at the top of the page, here are the installation steps again, for easy reference.\u00a0 These steps are the same for both TN-730 (standard yield) and TN-760 (high yield) cartridges!<\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Open up the cartridge door on the front of the printer.<\/li>\r\n<li>Remove the toner and drum unit from the printer. These two parts will come out connected together as one piece.<\/li>\r\n<li>Place the toner\/drum unit on a flat surface.<\/li>\r\n<li>To remove the toner from the drum unit, pull down on the small green tab on the left side of the drum.<\/li>\r\n<li>The toner will release and you can gently pull it away from the drum.<\/li>\r\n<li>Set the drum aside. You will need it to install the new toner cartridge.<\/li>\r\n<li>Unpack your new toner. Be sure to remove the orange protective clip from the cartridge before installation.<\/li>\r\n<li>Gently rock the cartridge back and forth over a trash can a few times to prep the toner.<\/li>\r\n<li>Grab your drum unit again, gently pull back on the green tab and slide the new toner into the drum unit.<\/li>\r\n<li>Slide both parts back into the printer, close up the front cover and you\u2019re ready to start printing!<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<hr \/>\r\n<h4 id=\"section1\"><strong>How to Reset a Brother TN-730 \/ TN-760 Toner Cartridge<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<p>If you installed a new toner cartridge and the \u201cReplace toner cartridge message\u201d won\u2019t clear from the display or a \u201cCartridge Error\u201d message appears on the display, you may need to reset the toner cartridge.\u00a0 Some Brother printers require a manual reset of the toner in order to start printing with a new cartridge.\u00a0 Once this is reset, you can continue to print without interruption for the full life of the cartridge.<\/p>\r\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/x6IfT8lT6S0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Press the \u201cback\u201d button and the \u201cGo\u201d button at the same time for 1-2 seconds. Release both buttons and then press the \u201cback\u201d button again.\u00a0 The printer screen will display \u201cTNR-STR\u201d<\/li>\r\n<li>Press the \u201cup\u201d and \u201cdown\u201d arrows to select \u201cTNR-HC\u201d, then press \u201cOK\u201d<\/li>\r\n<li>Select the \u201cdown\u201d button to choose \u201cReset\u201d and then close the front cover.
