When do I replace a Brother drum unit?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The DR-730 drum<\/a> has a yield of approximately 12,000 pages and typically needs to be replaced after the use of 3 or 4 toner cartridges . If you own a Brother laser printer and you are getting a “Replace Drum” message on your machine’s display, it might be time to get a new drum.\u00a0 If you want to be extra sure it\u2019s time to for a replacement, you can check the drum life manually too…<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

  1. Scroll through the display menu using the plus and minus buttons on the printer the display until you reach \u201cMachine info\u201d. Then press \u201cok\u201d and scroll to \u201cParts Life\u201d<\/li>\r\n
  2. \u00a0Press \u201cok\u201d and select \u201cDrum Life,\u201d and you\u2019ll be able to see what the current drum life is.\u00a0 If the drum life is low, your printer is ready for a new drum!<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

    How to Replace the DR-730 Drum<\/a> Unit<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
