First off, I am normally not a fan of regular Bounty paper towels because I do not like the "dust" that they leave on mirrors and windows. That being said, I first bought Bounty Basic to try because of the price. Now I won't buy anything else! I know they are only 1-ply but I can use one towel to clean my entire bathroom floor with a home-made solution of ammonia and water. And I have had several of them go through an entire wash and dry cycle without ripping (thanks to my forgetful teenager leaving them in his pocket). I also use them for covering up food in the microwave. (If I have a major spill, I will use a fabric cloth as I know 1-ply towels won't do the best job.) My husband and I both really like Bounty Basic and will continue to buy them. It's too bad for all the negative reviews otherwise.

I have always used bounty and enjoyed picking out my favorite designs. However, in the past year or so, the pretty flowers and cute animals on the towels and napkins has been replaced by ugly tribal art prints. Back in the day, the Peanuts gang were featured on the different holidays and now, the best part of the package is on the plastic wrap only to find the towels themselves have basic shapes. Very disappointing and has me looking at new brands until Bounty gets their act together and, hopefully, starts making nice designs again.

Comments about Bounty Paper Towel:

Picked them up in error, hate the design. First time that I used them, the dye in the figures stained my white counter tops. Was able to get the stains out, but it took a lot of work. Would NOT recommend these to anyone. Will stick to white paper towels in the future.

This product has so many great options

Comments about Bounty Paper Towel:

This product is great it has so many options also, it comes with different prints and you also can select a size for your different kinds of spills or messes, its the only paper towel that i use, it might cost alittle more but well worth it! You also use less because of the abbsorbancy that it has! Its also a very strong and durable papertowel, it holds up to alot of scrubbing and cleaning.

Prefer Select-A-Size 6" Wide (Not 7" Wide)

Comments about Bounty Paper Towel:

I've been using Bounty Paper Towels exclusively since 1990. I love the Select-A-Size 6" wide, not my recent purchases with 7" wide "half-sheets." I feel that wastes too much paper, since my small jobs are handled perfectly with the 6" wide sheet. If I need more, I'll use two sheets. (I like the white sheets, not prints). Yesterday, I picked up a Jumbo Pack of 15 rolls at Sam's Club and the half sheets are 6" wide! YAY!! So maybe you already switched back, or maybe I picked from an "old batch." Hopefully, this review will influence your sizing.

Comments about Bounty Paper Towel:

It took me several (many) times to realize your commercial spokesman was saying "per roll." It sounded like "parole," Or proll. Or what!!!??? It wasn't until many commercials later that I realized what she was saying was "per roll." You should shoot this over. Poor diction. Love your product though.

Absolutely love using bounty paper towels! They do such a great job cleaning up after a one year old. No other brand can compare!! It cleans all spilt milk/formula, baby food, and daily messes she makes. Not to mention cleaning up after our two cats!

What a magnificent product!

Comments about Bounty Paper Towel:

I found this product was absolutely better than was advertised it lasted me longer than it was supposed to. I did not have to purchase another package for 5 years because I purchased the 12 pack Super Roll. I cannot understand why you would not purchase the same size and number of roll's, I mean who ever heard of a package of paper towels lasting more than 5 years especially in my home that I clean myself and I live in a Mansion!

Staining my counter, sink and trash can

By Sorry customer

from Cordova, TN

Comments about Bounty Paper Towel:

For weeks I didn't know the source of the stubborn yellow stains appearing on my white laminate countertop, my sink and the brim of my trashbin until I asked my husband and he said the bounty minion paper towels are staining and leaving dye behind . The stains are very difficult to remove from my stainless steel and nearly impossible to remove from porous surfaces such as my countertops and white trash bin. We bought a 12 pack of select-a-size double rolls .

Bounty papers towels are thinner, feel rougher, don't tear properly, quality has definitely gone down. I will be looking elsewhere.

Cartridge Comparison Guide
  • Cartridge Types
  • Ink & Toner Basics
  • Number of Pages & Shelf Life
Cartridge Type
Genuine or OEM (Original) Cartridges Remanufactured Cartridges Compatible Cartridges
Description OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer, meaning the cartridge was made by the same company that made your printer. Original brand cartridges are very reliable and sometimes the only option if your printer is new to market or uncommon. Remanufactured ink is a genuine brand cartridge that has gone through one cycle of use. After use, the cartridge is recycled, acquired by a remanufacturing facility and put through a rigorous professional refurbishing process. During the refurbishing process the cartridge is disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and tested for quality. It's then carefully refilled, tested again and brought back to life. Buying remanufactured prevents one less cartridge from ending up in a landfill. A compatible cartridge is a brand new ink cartridge built by a manufacturer other than your printer. It's like buying the generic version of the genuine brand. Most are uniquely designed to differentiate from genuine cartridges. Despite any structural difference you may notice, the cartridge will still fit in your machine and print a full yield, just like the original brand.
Price Factors Many printer manufacturers follow the razor-and-blades business model which may result in higher priced genuine cartridges. Remanufactured ink is much cheaper than the original brand ink. It's far more cost effective to refurbish a previously used cartridge than create a new OEM from scratch. Compatible ink is much cheaper than the original brand. Compatible suppliers don't have to worry about the additional costs that hinder OEMs like new printers or firmware, which lets them keep prices low.
Quality Original cartridges work extremely well and are covered under a warranty by the printer manufacturer High quality remanufactured ink will match the quality of the original, but not all remanufactured ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results. High quality compatible ink will match the quality of the original, but not all compatible ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results.
What's the difference between ink and toner cartridges?
Ink Cartridges Toner Cartridges
Printer Type Work with inkjet printers Work with laser printers
Material Liquid ink Dry powder
How it works Inkjet printers use a series of nozzles that spray tiny drops of ink directly on the print suface Laser toner printers use static electricity and heat to bond dry toner powder to a page
Commonly used by Casual home users, small business and photographers Large businesses and schools
Number of Pages You Can Print A cartridge's page yield is the estimated number of pages you can print. Page yield is based on 5% page coverage. This means that the quoted page yield is based upon printed pages where only 5% of the page has been imprinted with ink. For example, a short memo has approximately 5% coverage. If you have a cartridge that has a yield of 500 pages, it can print 500 pages of that short memo. If you are printing letters, photos or graphics, your coverage will vary greatly and your page yield will drop significantly.
Cartridge Warranty and Shelf Life Most ink and toner cartridges include a warranty or "best by" date on their box. Remanufactured and compatible ink cartridges can last 12-18 months unopened, and toner cartridges can last up to 3 years.
Cartridge Care and Storage Only open a cartridge when you need it. Opened cartridges will eventually dry out, especially if the protective tape or clip has been removed. If you have an open ink cartridge around and would like to try and prevent it from drying out, place it nozzle side up in a plastic airtight tub. If your cartridge came with protective tape or a clip reapply both before storing. Place a damp cloth or paper towel in the tub, next to the cartridge and keep it stored in a cool, dark place.
