We were about to have our interior walls painted and wanted to avoid using nails afterward. I decided to try the Command products and chose the heaviest picture we have - 17 lbs! Prior to the paint job (in case it might have damaged the wall), I used a pair of the "Sticky Nail Wire-Back Hangers" for this picture. It held the heavy picture for two weeks, no problem. When I removed the product as instructed it was easy and there was no damage or visible remnants. We now have Command products holding up all our pictures (about 50). A definite plus for future sale of the house. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I'm very sad to say this because I have had such wonderful luck with other similar products. My apartment is full of them since, living in a high rise, it is often difficult to use nails in the concrete walls. I had a clock hanging on my wall using this product since last Christmas (11 months ago). I recently rearranged all the furniture in my apartment, and therefore, had a rearrange many of the wall hangings. I left the hook that was holding my clock on the wall and was able to hang a different frame on it in the same spot without having to move the hook. And since it had worked so well, and I happened to have another one handy, I hung another NEW hook in the new spot for my clock. Two nights later I was awoken by a crashing sound and glass shattering. I went out to find my clock on the floor, cracked and broken. The hook and adhesive remained tightly on the wall where I had put it, but the little "nail" part had popped right out. It seems that I may have just received a defective hook, since the original one had functioned perfectly for nearly a year (and is still, I might add). I'm very sad at the loss of my property. It was such a pretty clock. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

picture crash

By ron1210

Comments about Command Sticky Nail Wire-Back Hanger - 1 per pack:

twice in our previous house I found the picture on the floor. damage was done to the trim, etc. that I needed to repair. picture is well below the rated load. both times the pin had popped out of the plate causing the picture to fall. the plate was still attached to the wall. we are in a new house and I am ready to hang this same picture. I hate the holes in the wall but am unsure I can trust the attachment of the pin to the plate. I am curious if anyone else has reported this problem?

Comments about Command Sticky Nail Wire-Back Hanger - 1 per pack:

I hung a picture well below the weight limit for this hanger. Followed instructions to a T. It lasted 3 days and pucture crashed to the ground. Unless u plan on hanging something that weighs perhaps a pound, DO NOT USE THIS

Holds securely and no holes in the wall!

Comments about Command Sticky Nail Wire-Back Hanger - 1 per pack:

I used these in a friends new apartment that had a very strict lease not allowing anything to be hung on the walls, these were the perfect solution. We hung a fairly large painting on the wall and it is still secure 2 months later.

Safely secured.

Comments about Command Sticky Nail Wire-Back Hanger - 1 per pack:

When this product first arrived at my home, as a free sample, I was shocked at how big it was. My first thought was industrial overkill. After having the chance to use it though I feel confidence instead of intimidated. It was super simple to place on the wall and with the slender design, it doesn't effect how the art hangs against the wall. I haven't tried putting any weight above the recommendation, but the art piece I did hang with it is still right where I put it. I have removed the art twice to check the 3M hanger just to reassure myself, but it's still safely secured!

I have several large pictures that are quite heavy. I selected one to use this sample product and I have to say it worked quite well. It holds the picture flush to the wall and appears very secure.

Work should be appreciated and not damaged

Comments about Command Sticky Nail Wire-Back Hanger - 1 per pack:

Photo and hanging Art have been a problem as nails need to be appropriate and many times I ended up with a crack in cement walls. Other times, the glass frames fell and broke so it was of great interest to try a different solution. My only issue is I needed more than one to test heavy or larger paintings. Instead, I had a metal frame with glass and an attached wire to see. There are toothed stabilizers to stick to the frame on the lower ends and wall to have it set against the surface or stay even and mount with fewer incidents. It is a method which means less likelihood of knocking it off or out of position. My rating is also based on another factor and that is the capability to turn it around to suit a different hanger. The other plus being that the metal base will mean more durability and last. I feel that some people would want it to set into the backdrop of the wall color and so adding less visibility by having that available in similar color ranges or means to be painted, might be a greater incentive to buy and try them. I was satisfied and as stated would like to see it for use with larger pieces of hanging visuals. It will be considered for my own purchase and added on to my wish list once I check the availability in the future. As always, prep with rubbing alcohol but test it first in case the surface has a reaction. I did get to choose my product to test and it works better than a regular hook.

Very versitile!

Comments about Command Sticky Nail Wire-Back Hanger - 1 per pack:

I received this product free to test. Liked that I could use it on different picture frame hangers. Found it to be sturdy and practical. Also, the side tapes make the picture stay straight and not bounce around when a door close by is closed.

Cartridge Comparison Guide
  • Cartridge Types
  • Ink & Toner Basics
  • Number of Pages & Shelf Life
Cartridge Type
Genuine or OEM (Original) Cartridges Remanufactured Cartridges Compatible Cartridges
Description OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer, meaning the cartridge was made by the same company that made your printer. Original brand cartridges are very reliable and sometimes the only option if your printer is new to market or uncommon. Remanufactured ink is a genuine brand cartridge that has gone through one cycle of use. After use, the cartridge is recycled, acquired by a remanufacturing facility and put through a rigorous professional refurbishing process. During the refurbishing process the cartridge is disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and tested for quality. It's then carefully refilled, tested again and brought back to life. Buying remanufactured prevents one less cartridge from ending up in a landfill. A compatible cartridge is a brand new ink cartridge built by a manufacturer other than your printer. It's like buying the generic version of the genuine brand. Most are uniquely designed to differentiate from genuine cartridges. Despite any structural difference you may notice, the cartridge will still fit in your machine and print a full yield, just like the original brand.
Price Factors Many printer manufacturers follow the razor-and-blades business model which may result in higher priced genuine cartridges. Remanufactured ink is much cheaper than the original brand ink. It's far more cost effective to refurbish a previously used cartridge than create a new OEM from scratch. Compatible ink is much cheaper than the original brand. Compatible suppliers don't have to worry about the additional costs that hinder OEMs like new printers or firmware, which lets them keep prices low.
Quality Original cartridges work extremely well and are covered under a warranty by the printer manufacturer High quality remanufactured ink will match the quality of the original, but not all remanufactured ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results. High quality compatible ink will match the quality of the original, but not all compatible ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results.
What's the difference between ink and toner cartridges?
Ink Cartridges Toner Cartridges
Printer Type Work with inkjet printers Work with laser printers
Material Liquid ink Dry powder
How it works Inkjet printers use a series of nozzles that spray tiny drops of ink directly on the print suface Laser toner printers use static electricity and heat to bond dry toner powder to a page
Commonly used by Casual home users, small business and photographers Large businesses and schools
Number of Pages You Can Print A cartridge's page yield is the estimated number of pages you can print. Page yield is based on 5% page coverage. This means that the quoted page yield is based upon printed pages where only 5% of the page has been imprinted with ink. For example, a short memo has approximately 5% coverage. If you have a cartridge that has a yield of 500 pages, it can print 500 pages of that short memo. If you are printing letters, photos or graphics, your coverage will vary greatly and your page yield will drop significantly.
Cartridge Warranty and Shelf Life Most ink and toner cartridges include a warranty or "best by" date on their box. Remanufactured and compatible ink cartridges can last 12-18 months unopened, and toner cartridges can last up to 3 years.
Cartridge Care and Storage Only open a cartridge when you need it. Opened cartridges will eventually dry out, especially if the protective tape or clip has been removed. If you have an open ink cartridge around and would like to try and prevent it from drying out, place it nozzle side up in a plastic airtight tub. If your cartridge came with protective tape or a clip reapply both before storing. Place a damp cloth or paper towel in the tub, next to the cartridge and keep it stored in a cool, dark place.
