This is an awesome tool for getting all the areas of the toilet clean without having to put your hands in there. I received one of the Scotch Bright Toilet Scrubbers at no cost to review and I was surprised how well it really cleaned! I hadn't bought anything like this in a long time, but this one works and works well. The starter kit includes five scrubber heads, the wand and the caddy that stores the extra heads and the wand. The heads simply snap onto the end of the wand. The scrubbers are shaped to get all areas of the toilet including the rim, the bowl and down into the channel is needed. The head flexes to get everywhere. The scrubbers have bleach alternative cleaner with pumice already in them so you don't even have to mess with cleaners or sprays. These did an awesom job on our toilets, including one that had some hard water and mineral build up. I had tried some cleaners that were supposed to be for those things and they didn't work. That bowl hasn't looked that good in awhile! The cleaner doesn't smell and since you don't have ot touch it with your hands, it won't harm your skin. I was surprised by the strength of the wand. On the toilet with the build up, I really had to scrub and it was strong and sturdy throughout. I am very pleased and impressed with the performance of this product and will definitely purchase more.

I just loved the old style Scotch-Brite toilet scrubbers, but my local store stopped carrying them and switched to this new style. I'm so disappointed! The new shape is much more awkward to use and took longer to manipulate it to clean all the surfaces. The blue cleanser makes the water opaque so that it's hard to see if you've cleaned the underwater surfaces sufficiently. The old style didn't do that. The new caddy is nice, but that doesn't outweigh the negatives. Plus it's more expensive. I won't buy this again. If I can't find the old style scrubber, I'll be looking for a new brand.

Be aware!

Comments about Scotch-Brite Disposable Toilet Scrubber:

I recently moved into a new house so I have decided to try something new out to clean my toilet bowl. I bought this scrubber and turns out its a faulty product. While i was scrubbing the toilet bowl, the blue scrubbing piece fell off and went down into the drain. I forced my hands in there to grab it out but im pretty sure it traveld very far back so i couldnt even do anything about it. I had to call the plumbing service on a weekend which costed me $200 for suctioning and repair. This has got to be the worst yet. So becareful about buying a faulty scrubber. It may stick on the first 5 seconds but if it falls off without your knowledge, good luck!

Just What I Was Looking For!!!

By Peetie

Comments about Scotch-Brite Disposable Toilet Scrubber:

I like my current toilet brush for cleaning my toilet, but under the rim....I didn't realize how much gunk was not getting cleaned off. I spent a whole morning on hands and knees and sponge and cleanser...what a job! Then went to my local Target to get some other cleaning supplies and saw this product. I thought, by the package it was strictly for under the rim and I couldn't snatch it up fast enough! Now I am using my old toilet brush for the toilet once a week, and this for under the rim once a week also. That way I get the cleanest bowl possible and have no problem using two different brushes to get the job done. It only takes a couple minutes and is very convenient.

Terrible design

Comments about Scotch-Brite Disposable Toilet Scrubber:

I agree with the other negative reviews of this product. I loved the old design and am not sure why you would change the design of a product that worked well. This design odes not get under the rim well at all. I will be looking for another vendors product that will work well. My recommendation is that you just go back to the old design. I would buy that but not this piece of garbage.

Horrible design

By Sara

Comments about Scotch-Brite Disposable Toilet Scrubber:

I purchase this system because you changed the perfect design of your previous toilet scrubber. I had to use two scrubbers to clean one toilet! I promptly returned the product because it is simply inferior to your former design. I am now using a toilet brush and liquid cleaner. YUCK! Please go back to the previous design!

Had to buy this when the original couldn't be found in local stores. It fell apart during the first use. Not worth the $$$.

Switching to a Different Brand

By Scull

from Undisclosed

Comments about Scotch-Brite Disposable Toilet Scrubber:

I was forced to buy the redesigned toilet scrubber wand and refills when my grocery store stopped carrying the old design. After months of giving this product a try I am switching to a different brand. I was annoyed that I had to throw out the old wand simply because Scotch-Brite changed it's design. My frustration with the new product has grown after each use. The wand is difficult to manipulate in the bowl and the scrubbing pads are completely ineffective at cleaning. Very disappointing!

Save your money and buy another brand!

By Mandy10

Comments about Scotch-Brite Disposable Toilet Scrubber:

This was the worst scrubber I have ever used, I would give 0 stars. The only reason they have 4 stars on their reviews is because the people got the product for free (way to inflate your reviews). I have been purchasing the previous model for over 6 years, but they are no longer for sale in my area. So I decided to try the new model out, and couldn't have been more disappointed. It was extremely hard to clean any other part of the toilet aside from the rim. I had to double clean my toilet because I didn't feel like this product did what it is supposed to do. I do think it is convenient that this new one has a stand, but I would rather have functionality over convenience. This was a waste of money and is going to end up in the garbage. I will look online to buy the old refills otherwise I will be looking into a different brand.

What the world is the product design team thing when this piece of junk was thought of. Now I can't find the old one and I'm going to another company. Can't even find a store selling the old disposable product.

Slim design and works great

By lprivette

from Washington, DC, United States

Comments about Scotch-Brite Disposable Toilet Scrubber:

Easy to use toilet brush, especially for scrubbing under the rim! The disposable pop-off brush head and slim design are certainly more desirable/appealing in comparison to the traditional toilet brushes/holders. Saves space and easy to use. Doesn't retain water/drip like regular toilet brushes.

Cartridge Comparison Guide
  • Cartridge Types
  • Ink & Toner Basics
  • Number of Pages & Shelf Life
Cartridge Type
Genuine or OEM (Original) Cartridges Remanufactured Cartridges Compatible Cartridges
Description OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer, meaning the cartridge was made by the same company that made your printer. Original brand cartridges are very reliable and sometimes the only option if your printer is new to market or uncommon. Remanufactured ink is a genuine brand cartridge that has gone through one cycle of use. After use, the cartridge is recycled, acquired by a remanufacturing facility and put through a rigorous professional refurbishing process. During the refurbishing process the cartridge is disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and tested for quality. It's then carefully refilled, tested again and brought back to life. Buying remanufactured prevents one less cartridge from ending up in a landfill. A compatible cartridge is a brand new ink cartridge built by a manufacturer other than your printer. It's like buying the generic version of the genuine brand. Most are uniquely designed to differentiate from genuine cartridges. Despite any structural difference you may notice, the cartridge will still fit in your machine and print a full yield, just like the original brand.
Price Factors Many printer manufacturers follow the razor-and-blades business model which may result in higher priced genuine cartridges. Remanufactured ink is much cheaper than the original brand ink. It's far more cost effective to refurbish a previously used cartridge than create a new OEM from scratch. Compatible ink is much cheaper than the original brand. Compatible suppliers don't have to worry about the additional costs that hinder OEMs like new printers or firmware, which lets them keep prices low.
Quality Original cartridges work extremely well and are covered under a warranty by the printer manufacturer High quality remanufactured ink will match the quality of the original, but not all remanufactured ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results. High quality compatible ink will match the quality of the original, but not all compatible ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results.
What's the difference between ink and toner cartridges?
Ink Cartridges Toner Cartridges
Printer Type Work with inkjet printers Work with laser printers
Material Liquid ink Dry powder
How it works Inkjet printers use a series of nozzles that spray tiny drops of ink directly on the print suface Laser toner printers use static electricity and heat to bond dry toner powder to a page
Commonly used by Casual home users, small business and photographers Large businesses and schools
Number of Pages You Can Print A cartridge's page yield is the estimated number of pages you can print. Page yield is based on 5% page coverage. This means that the quoted page yield is based upon printed pages where only 5% of the page has been imprinted with ink. For example, a short memo has approximately 5% coverage. If you have a cartridge that has a yield of 500 pages, it can print 500 pages of that short memo. If you are printing letters, photos or graphics, your coverage will vary greatly and your page yield will drop significantly.
Cartridge Warranty and Shelf Life Most ink and toner cartridges include a warranty or "best by" date on their box. Remanufactured and compatible ink cartridges can last 12-18 months unopened, and toner cartridges can last up to 3 years.
Cartridge Care and Storage Only open a cartridge when you need it. Opened cartridges will eventually dry out, especially if the protective tape or clip has been removed. If you have an open ink cartridge around and would like to try and prevent it from drying out, place it nozzle side up in a plastic airtight tub. If your cartridge came with protective tape or a clip reapply both before storing. Place a damp cloth or paper towel in the tub, next to the cartridge and keep it stored in a cool, dark place.
