For it's it's been a choice over the years between huggies and these. I just can't imagine using non-chlorine free diapers on my children's skin for the length of time they'll need diapers. We've used newborn ones to training pants and they've worked fine, neither infinitely better nor worse than any other we've tried. For us it's been about the components of the diaper. We also like the minimalist design (we were fine with the Lorax way back when. Four stars for not having a more distinct cut out for the belly button in newborn size and for not making them in premie size. Our "tall and skinny" 6lb baby drowned in the newborn size and I dreaded using conventional diapers on her but had no choice.

We exclusively CDed our twins until about 10 months. During an extended, 2 week, power outage we purchased our first disposables. Of the 3 natural-ish brands we bought, Seventh Gen was our favorite by far. We loved them so much that we soon completely phased out cloth. I'm thrilled to say that my extremely sensitive skinned preemies (and now toddlers) have NEVER had a diaper rash! Our local stores switched over to the new "touch of cloth" diapers last week. While I do like the new padding and they seem slightly more absorbent, the sizing is now much smaller. The 5s are listed as 27+ lbs. and my 23 & 24lb. toddlers don't fit! Both are big, but not chunkers and nowhere near Buddha babies. This is made even worse by the no-longer-grippy tabs that come off if you look at them wrong. My primary complaint is the new outer material. It's extremely scratchy. Both my guys have raw patches where the elastic hits and around their bellies. Still no official "rash" in the crotch area, but this has gotten pretty bad fast! Honestly, I didn't read how this new formation was better and I don't care. We are too far away from PT so I've ordered what's left of the old ones, that I can find, and we'll have to switch. We still use the overnights, but this new diaper is not an improvement for us.

Used to love these...

Comments about Seventh Generation Baby Free & Clear Stage 3 Diapers - 62 per box:

My baby is nearly two now and has been using cloth diapers. Whenever we needed a disposable, these diapers were our go-to. I have never had a problem with leaks overnight or otherwise until recently. The design seems to have been changed? The overall cut seems thinner and I can see a little more of her bottom hanging out. We went on a long trip where we used disposables exclusively (Seventh Generation), and we were dealing with multiple leaks a day and constant soaking clothes in the morning. This has NEVER been an issue before. My baby is well within the weight recommendations for the diaper she is wearing so it isn't that. Please, please, please bring back the old design!!

I received a free sample with 2 diapers. They were not as soft on the outside but very soft on the inside. Used one over night and the diaper was slightly hard where it was wet. Great during the day when changed more often.

Perfect Diapers for a Worried Mama

By MegTam

from Granite Falls, NC, United States

Comments about Seventh Generation Baby Free & Clear Stage 3 Diapers - 62 per box:

Being a first time mama, I have researching diapers way more than I even expected from disposable to cloth and every brand imaginable. I love that the Seventh Generation diapers are chlorine free and free of lotions and scents. It gives me piece of mind knowing that there are no unneeded chemicals near our baby's sensitive bottom. These diapers do tend to be a little more expensive than some other popular name brands, but I am so happy I received a free sample to see how soft and well designed these are before having to make a bigger purchase. They have a cute print and are always in stock at our (small) local Target. I received a free product for the purpose of my review. Opinions are 100% my own.

Comments about Seventh Generation Baby Free & Clear Stage 3 Diapers - 62 per box:

My parents actually bought them for us. My third born has been battling severe eczema since she was born. I literally have tried 8-10 different brands and this was one that did it irritate her at all and helped cleared up the problem.

Cartridge Comparison Guide
  • Cartridge Types
  • Ink & Toner Basics
  • Number of Pages & Shelf Life
Cartridge Type
Genuine or OEM (Original) Cartridges Remanufactured Cartridges Compatible Cartridges
Description OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer, meaning the cartridge was made by the same company that made your printer. Original brand cartridges are very reliable and sometimes the only option if your printer is new to market or uncommon. Remanufactured ink is a genuine brand cartridge that has gone through one cycle of use. After use, the cartridge is recycled, acquired by a remanufacturing facility and put through a rigorous professional refurbishing process. During the refurbishing process the cartridge is disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and tested for quality. It's then carefully refilled, tested again and brought back to life. Buying remanufactured prevents one less cartridge from ending up in a landfill. A compatible cartridge is a brand new ink cartridge built by a manufacturer other than your printer. It's like buying the generic version of the genuine brand. Most are uniquely designed to differentiate from genuine cartridges. Despite any structural difference you may notice, the cartridge will still fit in your machine and print a full yield, just like the original brand.
Price Factors Many printer manufacturers follow the razor-and-blades business model which may result in higher priced genuine cartridges. Remanufactured ink is much cheaper than the original brand ink. It's far more cost effective to refurbish a previously used cartridge than create a new OEM from scratch. Compatible ink is much cheaper than the original brand. Compatible suppliers don't have to worry about the additional costs that hinder OEMs like new printers or firmware, which lets them keep prices low.
Quality Original cartridges work extremely well and are covered under a warranty by the printer manufacturer High quality remanufactured ink will match the quality of the original, but not all remanufactured ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results. High quality compatible ink will match the quality of the original, but not all compatible ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results.
What's the difference between ink and toner cartridges?
Ink Cartridges Toner Cartridges
Printer Type Work with inkjet printers Work with laser printers
Material Liquid ink Dry powder
How it works Inkjet printers use a series of nozzles that spray tiny drops of ink directly on the print suface Laser toner printers use static electricity and heat to bond dry toner powder to a page
Commonly used by Casual home users, small business and photographers Large businesses and schools
Number of Pages You Can Print A cartridge's page yield is the estimated number of pages you can print. Page yield is based on 5% page coverage. This means that the quoted page yield is based upon printed pages where only 5% of the page has been imprinted with ink. For example, a short memo has approximately 5% coverage. If you have a cartridge that has a yield of 500 pages, it can print 500 pages of that short memo. If you are printing letters, photos or graphics, your coverage will vary greatly and your page yield will drop significantly.
Cartridge Warranty and Shelf Life Most ink and toner cartridges include a warranty or "best by" date on their box. Remanufactured and compatible ink cartridges can last 12-18 months unopened, and toner cartridges can last up to 3 years.
Cartridge Care and Storage Only open a cartridge when you need it. Opened cartridges will eventually dry out, especially if the protective tape or clip has been removed. If you have an open ink cartridge around and would like to try and prevent it from drying out, place it nozzle side up in a plastic airtight tub. If your cartridge came with protective tape or a clip reapply both before storing. Place a damp cloth or paper towel in the tub, next to the cartridge and keep it stored in a cool, dark place.
