At just under 100 dollars, the HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 is an excellent choice for those in need of professional looking color prints and a range of multifunction features.  Perfect for the home workspace and small offices, this machine prints up to 18 pages per minute and includes essential office features like an automatic duplexer, automatic document feeder and scan to email.  The printer uses four HP 902 cartridges, which are offered in both a standard and high yield cartridge size. The high volume option is a better value for customers that print frequently, with the 902XL black cartridge printing 1,500 pages and color inks printing 825 pages.  Original brand high yield cartridges can cost anywhere from $21.99-$38.99, depending on the cartridge.  Best for a Small-Business: Epson® WorkForce WF-4720 – $119.99 on Amazon

With a print speed of 20 pages per minute and a monthly duty cycle of 30,000 pages, this all-purpose printer can add a big boost to any small business workspace or home office. The paper tray holds 250 plain sheets and comes equipped with a 35-page auto document feeder.  Added bonuses for this printer include speedy double-sided printing at a high output quality, as well as the ability to handle borderless documents. Wireless printing from your mobile device is a cinch with this machine, and its fax contains a memory of 180 pages. The printer uses four individual 802 ink cartridges, which are available in both a standard and high yield size.  Original brand Epson 802XL black cartridge are sold for $49.99 and its color counterparts for $39.99 each. Best Photos: Canon® PIXMA TR-8520 – $99.43 on Amazon

Geared toward home photographers, the Canon PIXMA TR-8520 is a compact all-in-one photo printer that packs a punch for the price.  An easy to use display screen lets you quickly navigate print options, making photo printing a breeze. Among the multifunction features this printer boasts are copying, scanning, faxing, wireless printing and automatic duplexing for printing on both sides of a sheet of paper.  The printer is speedy too, clocking in at 20 pages per minute for both black and white and color prints. Canon sells the PGI-280XXL extra high yield black ink cartridge for $34.99, offering a yield of approximately 500 pages. CLI-281XXL color cartridges are sold in three different colors, cyan, magenta and yellow, offering a yield of 660 pages per cartridge at $19.99.  Cost saving LD brand compatible cartridges will be coming soon!

Best Budget: Brother® MFC-J985DW – $169.99 on Amazon

The Brother MFC-J985DW is a cheap printer with print/scan/copy/fax functionality and super high yield ink cartridges that offer a generous page yield.  Four individual cartridges come with the machine, including an LC20E black cartridge that prints up to 2,400 pages and three LC20E color cartridges that print up to 1,200 pages apiece.  Brother sells two versions of this printer, the MFC-J985DW and the MFC-J985DW XL. For about $85 more, 12 super-high yield cartridges are included with the XL printer, or 3 times more ink than what is included with the standard model.  Capable of handling nearly any home or business office task, the Brother MFC-J985DW offers the ability to print 12 pages per minute, and clocks in at 10 pages per minute when handling color printing. The printer can also handle double-sided print jobs and features a 100-sheet paper tray, helping you to conserve paper while reducing your carbon footprint.  To bring printing costs down further, consider buying LD brand compatible LC20E XXL cartridges. At just $8.49* for the black cartridge and $7.49 per color, you can get comparable print quality to the original Brother brand for pennies on the dollar.

Epson’s Ecotank series has been available for a couple of years now, offering an economical solution for home users with frequent printing needs.  The Expression ET-2700 is one of the newest additions to the line, featuring four supersized tanks designed to keep you printing longer for less. Its greatest selling point are the ink bottles.  Priced at $19.99, the 502 black ink bottle includes enough ink for 7,500 prints. Each color bottle is just $13.99 and can print up to 6,500 pages. LD Products will be offering a compatible version of the 502 ink bottles soon! The $239.99 price tag is a bit expensive for an inkjet printer but the value you get from the ink alone make it an attractive option for the right user looking for a low cost per page.  With an easy to use wireless set up and print speeds of up to 10 pages per minute, you can quickly print from the comfort of your phone or tablet. The printer also touts a max 5760 x 1440 dpi print resolution for detailed color prints, perfect for smartly executed letters, photos, brochures and more. If you’re looking for a printer with a low cost of ownership, this one is a solid contender.
