I was fortunate to be a part of the beta testing for this headset. This is a headset that can do it all. I can spend 7 hours on the many conference calls I am on. My voice is clear and well heard, the mute function allows me to express my true thoughts without embarrassment, and it reminded me as soon as I tried to talk with it on -- very nice. As a UC device this was top notch. The bluetooth dongle that came with it also was a plus as if you're using a bluetooth keyboard, bluetooth mouse, you'll find your bandwidth limited and you'll find while listening to audio your mouse will be slow to move, or your keyboard non-responsive -- every bluetooth headset does this btw. The dongle solves this issue, to your PC it's just a USB audio device, and it uses it's own bluetooth stack to talk to the headset. After doing 7hrs of being on the phone, this headset worked well for the commute home. My commute to and from the office is an hour and a half, bus ride, and the headset had plenty of power. The sound was excellent. Very well blended, and offered strong bass without muddling the highs. I also had enough juice left in the headset to watch movies off my tablet -- again the sound quality was awesome. So the battery life after using it 10+ hrs, Bluetooth was simple and easy to pair. Controls were easy to navigate, and features like going on mute when you take the headset off, or while playing music you can push the mute button to allow outside sounds into your headset, or it figuring out how you put the headset on and maps the right and left ears accordingly. It's also very comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

Overall, I found the Voyager Focus UC to perform above expectations. The only negative is the ear padding. Plain and simple, it could benefit from a redesign. It's just not soft enough to be worn for extended periods of time. I have a fairly large head and constantly find myself having to take off the headset after a few calls to deal with the pain I feel while wearing it for a long period of time.

Nice Headset Needs Commercial Quality Plastics

By Q Continuum

from AZ

Comments about Plantronics Voyager Focus UC B825 Headset:

I've had this headset for a few months for our UC campaign. I'm impressed with the earphone comfort and the noise cancelling. I can wear these all day. The weak point on this headset is the plastics just above the ear phones. The plastic is very thin and breaks all the time. I have to super glue it together in order to make adjustments.

Nice, not great.

By GeoPA

from Pittsburgh, PA, United States

Comments about Plantronics Voyager Focus UC B825 Headset:

I bought these a while after team moved into an open collaboration space. There is a ton of cross talk and other background noise that can get really distracting. Before buying this headset, I had been using an old Bose QC15 ANC headset to block out background noise, but they didn't help with Skype for business, which we use for all communication. The noise canceling on the Voyager Focus doesn't come close to being as effective as the old Bose headphones. It's noticeable, but does not block out even moderate talking. I have to resort to listening to low volume music all day to block out distractions. Beyond the ANC, the headset is really nice. It just doesn't live up to the advertising hype.

I bought this 3 weeks ago, I've found the noise cancelling has limited effect, I need to play music to drown out office background noise and nearby coworkers on the phone.

Most Impressive and Feature Rich Headset Around!

By Bkfletcher2001

from Austin, TX

Comments about Plantronics Voyager Focus UC B825 Headset:

So I'm in sales and on the phone all of the time. It's a noisy work environment and I need reduced background noise and Crystal clear communications. This helped me achieve both! This headset does it all! I've shown numerous co-workers how incredible these things are and now half the sales floor have a pair! Even the audiophile in you will want to keep these around for the amazing sound! You won't find a better headset!!

This has really changed ...

By Japanda

Comments about Plantronics Voyager Focus UC B825 Headset:

This has really changed my life. Here are my run down. PROS - Awesome noise canceling feature - they really did a good job here. - Block out sound in the room. Great for small spaces with other employees - Long battery life - Good sound quality for calls (not great for music - bass gets distorted) - Reliable build quality - Customizable digital settings - Adjustable tension (Just stretch apart to loosen) - Looks good when using out of the office - good deign - Keeps you active able to walk away from - Plantronics stands behind their products - Good customer support CONS - Bluetooth connection gets "clicks" during conversations every so often - Can get hot over the ears but that's the trade off for over-the-ear design that blocks out noise in the room so you can "focus". - Bass is distorted with bass heavy music - don't plan on using as your replacement for a good pair of headphones. - Pricy (but was with it in the end

Great audio, great mic, good noise cancelation

By wyrdnexus

from Portland, OR

Comments about Plantronics Voyager Focus UC B825 Headset:

This is my sixth medium-high-end wireless headset. This is the first one I've been happy with. I've had it for about a month now, and it's becoming my favorite accessory, second only to my Pixel XL. I'm wearing it constantly, work, driving, gaming at home, and it is always comfortable with crystal clear audio. This is a purchase you will be sure to be happy with.

Cartridge Comparison Guide
  • Cartridge Types
  • Ink & Toner Basics
  • Number of Pages & Shelf Life
Cartridge Type
Genuine or OEM (Original) Cartridges Remanufactured Cartridges Compatible Cartridges
Description OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer, meaning the cartridge was made by the same company that made your printer. Original brand cartridges are very reliable and sometimes the only option if your printer is new to market or uncommon. Remanufactured ink is a genuine brand cartridge that has gone through one cycle of use. After use, the cartridge is recycled, acquired by a remanufacturing facility and put through a rigorous professional refurbishing process. During the refurbishing process the cartridge is disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and tested for quality. It's then carefully refilled, tested again and brought back to life. Buying remanufactured prevents one less cartridge from ending up in a landfill. A compatible cartridge is a brand new ink cartridge built by a manufacturer other than your printer. It's like buying the generic version of the genuine brand. Most are uniquely designed to differentiate from genuine cartridges. Despite any structural difference you may notice, the cartridge will still fit in your machine and print a full yield, just like the original brand.
Price Factors Many printer manufacturers follow the razor-and-blades business model which may result in higher priced genuine cartridges. Remanufactured ink is much cheaper than the original brand ink. It's far more cost effective to refurbish a previously used cartridge than create a new OEM from scratch. Compatible ink is much cheaper than the original brand. Compatible suppliers don't have to worry about the additional costs that hinder OEMs like new printers or firmware, which lets them keep prices low.
Quality Original cartridges work extremely well and are covered under a warranty by the printer manufacturer High quality remanufactured ink will match the quality of the original, but not all remanufactured ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results. High quality compatible ink will match the quality of the original, but not all compatible ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results.
What's the difference between ink and toner cartridges?
Ink Cartridges Toner Cartridges
Printer Type Work with inkjet printers Work with laser printers
Material Liquid ink Dry powder
How it works Inkjet printers use a series of nozzles that spray tiny drops of ink directly on the print suface Laser toner printers use static electricity and heat to bond dry toner powder to a page
Commonly used by Casual home users, small business and photographers Large businesses and schools
Number of Pages You Can Print A cartridge's page yield is the estimated number of pages you can print. Page yield is based on 5% page coverage. This means that the quoted page yield is based upon printed pages where only 5% of the page has been imprinted with ink. For example, a short memo has approximately 5% coverage. If you have a cartridge that has a yield of 500 pages, it can print 500 pages of that short memo. If you are printing letters, photos or graphics, your coverage will vary greatly and your page yield will drop significantly.
Cartridge Warranty and Shelf Life Most ink and toner cartridges include a warranty or "best by" date on their box. Remanufactured and compatible ink cartridges can last 12-18 months unopened, and toner cartridges can last up to 3 years.
Cartridge Care and Storage Only open a cartridge when you need it. Opened cartridges will eventually dry out, especially if the protective tape or clip has been removed. If you have an open ink cartridge around and would like to try and prevent it from drying out, place it nozzle side up in a plastic airtight tub. If your cartridge came with protective tape or a clip reapply both before storing. Place a damp cloth or paper towel in the tub, next to the cartridge and keep it stored in a cool, dark place.
