I don't use a lot of ink in a year, so I'm more interested in buying your cartridges when they are fresh, not the older pieces that are on clearance. I've had problems with buying older cartridges in the past. When do you anticipate having your fresh batch on sale? I need a cartridge now, so I may have to buy one for now, but would rather buy a set if I knew they were fresh.

We're expecting to receive new batch of these ink cartridges within a week or two. Feel free to order now, as we cover all our products by our 100% lifetime satisfaction guarantee. I'm noticing that the 950 and 951 remanufactured cartridges are all coming up as "clearance" items. Are they being discontinued, or is the batch you have on hand getting old?

I have an HP and it takes 951XL cartridges. Will this black cartridge work even though it says 950XL??

try going to HP website and download new software that takes off the Dynamic Security Feature Affecting non-HP cartridges

I have installed the color ink cartridges in my HP 8600 and 8620 printers and they do not work on either. I have tried the various troubleshooting tips including the wet paper towel, cleaning the print heads, and shutting down and unplugging the printer. Nothing has worked and I am getting white lines and poor color mixing. Tried both sets of color cartridges in both printers, with same poor result with all. Any suggestions other than sending these back and buying HP branded ink?

I am having this exact same issue. The only thing I can think of now is getting HP branded ink as well. The black works fine, but the colors are all bad. I've been through 3 sets now. HP tells me the print head could now be damaged as well, but I'm hoping that isn't the case.

We're very sorry for the trouble you encountered while using our products! Please note that you are covered by our 100% lifetime satisfaction guarantee. Do not hesitate to reach us through email, livechat or call us at 888-321-2552 so we can resolve this issue for you!

My HP 8610 is not accepting your replacement ink cartridges. I get error messages for magenta and cyan. I have read that recent firmware from HP prevents LD cartridges from working. Can you replace these cartridges with updated chips that work. I need RMA # to return these non-working cartridges.

We're very sorry to hear the trouble with the cartridges! Please give our customer service team a call at 888-321-2552 and we'll certainly be able to assist you in this matter.

I have had a problem getting manufactured cartage to register the ink level, and printer wouldn't print, because it said it was out of ink for that cartage. will these ink cartage register the ink level in the printer?

It's common for non-OEM cartridges to reflect an inaccurate ink level. However; resetting the printer should allow you to register the correct ink level and to continue printing. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you need any assistance, we'll be happy to help!

Okay so what is compatable with wha tI have.....a HP Deskjet 2430?

Please contact our sales team at (888) 321-2552 with the exact model number of your printer for a product or cartridge number. For example, HP DeskJet D2430 or HP DeskJet F2430. Both of these models are the HP 2430 and takes two different type of cartridges.

Will this ink work with a recently purchased HP Pro Office Jet 8620? Please let me know.

Yes, these Remanufactured HP 950/951XL ink cartridges will fit and work with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8620.

My question is "Does the HP Office Jet 8600 Premium 950 & 951 equivalent to your product work in this printer? I ordered from another company and had to return the item because the printer said it was not a HP ink cartridge. Will your LD equivalent work? I use your LD ink in another older model of HP Color Laser Jet and it works just fine. I have been purchasing from y'all for a long time. I just do not want to return the item if it will not work on my 8600. Please respond asap. Thanks

This item contains a new smart chip that the printer will detect and display the accurate ink levels. It is common for the non-genuine message to display. However, you should be able to press on OK or RESUME for it to continue and print. If there's any trouble, please call our customer service team at (888) 321-2552 for further assistance.

Do these cartridges have the new chip? Will the printer recognize them? What if they cause a problem with my printer? Thanks.

These cartridges contains a new chip which allows for an accurate reading. The item is backed by a two year warranty. If you encounter any issues or have any further questions, please contact our customer service team at (888) 321-2552.

I have an 8610 HP Office Jet Pro All In One. According to LD the replacement ink for this printer is HP950XL & HP951XL - Don't order them! The printer will not accept XLs a message will state "more than one ink is damaged". You must only purchase HP950 & HP951 Ink.

I bought the 951xl for my HP printer but it keeps giving me an error message. Just read same question from one of your customers do I follow same answer given and call for exchange because I bought a bunch of the ink. Thanks

We are so sorry that you encountered an issue with our products. Please contact our customer service team at (888) 321-2552 for further assistance. You are certainly covered by our warranty and we will be here to help!

I have a HP8610 and purchased ink replacements as I have done in the past with other HP printers. I have tried 2 different 950 XL cartridges and they both generate errors. I can put the original cartridge back and it works. I am running low on ink and have several of your cartridges with no luck. Any suggestions about a work around or could they both be defective as the message indicates?

We apologize for any trouble that you have encountered with our products. You are covered 100% by our two year warranty. Please contact our customer care at (888) 321-2552 for further assistance.

Any tricks to setting up 950/951's in HP 8610 printer? I replaced the original HP starter cartridges that came with my 8610 printer with LD compatibles. I get messages on both computer and printer screen advising that the non-HP cartridges (yours) won't work, and it refuses to print. It proceeds from color to color, demanding replacement with HP cartridges Can't believe the first four cartridges out of the bundle box are all defective. What should I do to make them function in my machine? Purchased them from you last December 2014.

Same thing happened to me, however when you click ok, it worked for me.

Based on what you've described it sounds like your HP firmware is preventing you from using our remanufactured cartridges and unfortunately with the firmware update, once you upgrade you can't go back to a previous version. To check and see if the issue is related to the firmware, you would need to the following: - From the printer control panel, press Help (?) button, select Printer Information. - Use the down arrow button to scroll to the 2nd screen. - The current firmware revision will appear on the screen. If it is firmware version FDP1CN1502AR then you do have the problematic firmware preventing the use of remanufactured cartridges. The good news is that we should have new chips in a few weeks that will work with this updated version of firmware and we would be happy to exchange these once the new cartridges become available. Please feel free to call us at (888)321-2552 if you have any questions.

  • Cartridge Types
  • Ink & Toner Basics
  • Number of Pages & Shelf Life
Cartridge Type
Genuine or OEM (Original) Cartridges Remanufactured Cartridges Compatible Cartridges
Description OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer, meaning the cartridge was made by the same company that made your printer. Original brand cartridges are very reliable and sometimes the only option if your printer is new to market or uncommon. Remanufactured ink is a genuine brand cartridge that has gone through one cycle of use. After use, the cartridge is recycled, acquired by a remanufacturing facility and put through a rigorous professional refurbishing process. During the refurbishing process the cartridge is disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and tested for quality. It's then carefully refilled, tested again and brought back to life. Buying remanufactured prevents one less cartridge from ending up in a landfill. A compatible cartridge is a brand new ink cartridge built by a manufacturer other than your printer. It's like buying the generic version of the genuine brand. Most are uniquely designed to differentiate from genuine cartridges. Despite any structural difference you may notice, the cartridge will still fit in your machine and print a full yield, just like the original brand.
Price Factors Many printer manufacturers follow the razor-and-blades business model which may result in higher priced genuine cartridges. Remanufactured ink is much cheaper than the original brand ink. It's far more cost effective to refurbish a previously used cartridge than create a new OEM from scratch. Compatible ink is much cheaper than the original brand. Compatible suppliers don't have to worry about the additional costs that hinder OEMs like new printers or firmware, which lets them keep prices low.
Quality Original cartridges work extremely well and are covered under a warranty by the printer manufacturer High quality remanufactured ink will match the quality of the original, but not all remanufactured ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results. High quality compatible ink will match the quality of the original, but not all compatible ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results.
What's the difference between ink and toner cartridges?
Ink Cartridges Toner Cartridges
Printer Type Work with inkjet printers Work with laser printers
Material Liquid ink Dry powder
How it works Inkjet printers use a series of nozzles that spray tiny drops of ink directly on the print suface Laser toner printers use static electricity and heat to bond dry toner powder to a page
Commonly used by Casual home users, small business and photographers Large businesses and schools
Number of Pages You Can Print A cartridge's page yield is the estimated number of pages you can print. Page yield is based on 5% page coverage. This means that the quoted page yield is based upon printed pages where only 5% of the page has been imprinted with ink. For example, a short memo has approximately 5% coverage. If you have a cartridge that has a yield of 500 pages, it can print 500 pages of that short memo. If you are printing letters, photos or graphics, your coverage will vary greatly and your page yield will drop significantly.
Cartridge Warranty and Shelf Life Most ink and toner cartridges include a warranty or "best by" date on their box. Remanufactured and compatible ink cartridges can last 12-18 months unopened, and toner cartridges can last up to 3 years.
Cartridge Care and Storage Only open a cartridge when you need it. Opened cartridges will eventually dry out, especially if the protective tape or clip has been removed. If you have an open ink cartridge around and would like to try and prevent it from drying out, place it nozzle side up in a plastic airtight tub. If your cartridge came with protective tape or a clip reapply both before storing. Place a damp cloth or paper towel in the tub, next to the cartridge and keep it stored in a cool, dark place.
