As a small business owner, I was looking for a way to create booklets without taking them to a binder. I had not thought of a stapler before. This is the answer! This stapler holds staples larger than I have ever seen. I had to test is out before printing the booklets- WOW. I did not have to apply a large amount of pressure to get through the sample stack. It was smooth and easy. No jamming or problems at all. This will hold many different sizes of staples, so various sized jobs can be a real money saver! I have received the item was free in exchange for your honest opinion. (It really does warrant a 5 star review!)

I never leave reviews, but I decided to on this product because I was very disappointed. About 6 months ago at my work we had a Swingline heavy duty stapler that all of the sudden broke and wouldn't staple anything, so I replaced it with this one, which was just newer. This one did not last very long at all, considering how expensive it was. It was always a pain putting more staples in it, and it would never staple a stack of plans more than 30 pages long. It recently broke and will not staple anymore. I do not know what happened, but the plastic on the bottom is cracked an the staples wont go through paper, they just bend and jam up. It is very frustrating buying almost the most expensive heavy duty stapler I can find, only to find out it does a horrible job. And what a waste of time at work, un-jamming your stapler every time you use it!!

Broke After Minimal Use

By StaplingDude

Comments about Swingline High Capacity Heavy Duty Stapler:

The part that is supposed to bend the staple, broke off after maybe 10 uses. Now the staples do not bend making the entire stapler useless.

Works great and backed by warranty!

By harleydmark

Comments about Swingline High Capacity Heavy Duty Stapler:

I use the HD stapler continuously throughout the day, swapping out 1/2 - 3/4" staples multiple times without issues. The strike plate on 2 units we use heavily broke and when I called customer service they asked for a number off of them, my mailing information and new ones I am told are on the way. Didn't question how long we've had them, what we were using them for,..... It was just "oh you have broken units, we'll ship you new ones". Great service on a good product.

The product is suppose to staple up to 210 sheet of paper

By Debbie56

Comments about Swingline High Capacity Heavy Duty Stapler:

I am so disappointed in this product. I work in an office that has files that have anywhere from 50 to 200 sheets of paper. The stapler jams, the staples won't go all the way thru, I am pulling out more staples than what stay in. Would I buy or promote this product the answer would be NO

Ok stapler

By lbw738

from Decatur, GA 30030, USA

Comments about Swingline High Capacity Heavy Duty Stapler:

The Swingline® High-Capacity Heavy-Duty Full Strip Stapler was a convenient stapler. It really got the job done as far as stapling a large amount of papers. It can be a little tedious pushing down the handle while trying to staple packets for daily job functions. Overall the stapler works pretty good and I haven't had any paper jams. I should mention that I was sent a free sample to use for this review.

Swingline® High Capacity Heavy Duty Stapler, 210 Sheets, Black

By Barn20611

Comments about Swingline High Capacity Heavy Duty Stapler:

I received the Swingline High Capacity Heavy Duty Full Stapler to review and after two uses the stapler jammed quite often when stapling large amounts of paper. It is easy to become frustrated with the product after trying to staple large amounts of paper and jamming. I will continue to see if there is something I`m doing so cannot recommend to family and friends at this time.

If the manual weren't a state secret, I might be able to use it

By EricEngelmann

Comments about Swingline High Capacity Heavy Duty Stapler:

I'm reviewing the High capacity heavy duty stapler model 90002. Totally worthless to me, since there is no operations manual on the Swingline web site. All the other many Swingline products I use are fine, but this might as well be scrap metal when Swingline doesn't make the manual available. Please ask your web team to do better! 30 minutes of my time wasted.

After 2 years of heavy use in a tax preparation office, our heavy duty stapler broke. When I called customer service and spoke with Lolita, she replaced my stapler FREE OF CHARGE! I am absolutely amazed that any company would back its products after so many years. THANK YOU!

By Mindie

Comments about Swingline High Capacity Heavy Duty Stapler:

As you will see by the picture, the metal shaft/blade does not go far enough down to even touch the staple. This is the Model 390. Can someone assist me?

Cartridge Comparison Guide
  • Cartridge Types
  • Ink & Toner Basics
  • Number of Pages & Shelf Life
Cartridge Type
Genuine or OEM (Original) Cartridges Remanufactured Cartridges Compatible Cartridges
Description OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer, meaning the cartridge was made by the same company that made your printer. Original brand cartridges are very reliable and sometimes the only option if your printer is new to market or uncommon. Remanufactured ink is a genuine brand cartridge that has gone through one cycle of use. After use, the cartridge is recycled, acquired by a remanufacturing facility and put through a rigorous professional refurbishing process. During the refurbishing process the cartridge is disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and tested for quality. It's then carefully refilled, tested again and brought back to life. Buying remanufactured prevents one less cartridge from ending up in a landfill. A compatible cartridge is a brand new ink cartridge built by a manufacturer other than your printer. It's like buying the generic version of the genuine brand. Most are uniquely designed to differentiate from genuine cartridges. Despite any structural difference you may notice, the cartridge will still fit in your machine and print a full yield, just like the original brand.
Price Factors Many printer manufacturers follow the razor-and-blades business model which may result in higher priced genuine cartridges. Remanufactured ink is much cheaper than the original brand ink. It's far more cost effective to refurbish a previously used cartridge than create a new OEM from scratch. Compatible ink is much cheaper than the original brand. Compatible suppliers don't have to worry about the additional costs that hinder OEMs like new printers or firmware, which lets them keep prices low.
Quality Original cartridges work extremely well and are covered under a warranty by the printer manufacturer High quality remanufactured ink will match the quality of the original, but not all remanufactured ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results. High quality compatible ink will match the quality of the original, but not all compatible ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results.
What's the difference between ink and toner cartridges?
Ink Cartridges Toner Cartridges
Printer Type Work with inkjet printers Work with laser printers
Material Liquid ink Dry powder
How it works Inkjet printers use a series of nozzles that spray tiny drops of ink directly on the print suface Laser toner printers use static electricity and heat to bond dry toner powder to a page
Commonly used by Casual home users, small business and photographers Large businesses and schools
Number of Pages You Can Print A cartridge's page yield is the estimated number of pages you can print. Page yield is based on 5% page coverage. This means that the quoted page yield is based upon printed pages where only 5% of the page has been imprinted with ink. For example, a short memo has approximately 5% coverage. If you have a cartridge that has a yield of 500 pages, it can print 500 pages of that short memo. If you are printing letters, photos or graphics, your coverage will vary greatly and your page yield will drop significantly.
Cartridge Warranty and Shelf Life Most ink and toner cartridges include a warranty or "best by" date on their box. Remanufactured and compatible ink cartridges can last 12-18 months unopened, and toner cartridges can last up to 3 years.
Cartridge Care and Storage Only open a cartridge when you need it. Opened cartridges will eventually dry out, especially if the protective tape or clip has been removed. If you have an open ink cartridge around and would like to try and prevent it from drying out, place it nozzle side up in a plastic airtight tub. If your cartridge came with protective tape or a clip reapply both before storing. Place a damp cloth or paper towel in the tub, next to the cartridge and keep it stored in a cool, dark place.
