Is there a difference in the amount of this ink, giving less printing ability?

How many pages can you print compared to HP cartridges
Asked on 4/4/2015 by amy1968 from Kentucky, USA

    1 answer

    • A:

The reman HP60 will print the same amount of pages as the original, approximately 165 pages. You may want to look for the HP60XL that is the high yield for a few more dollars will around 600 pages. A much better deal.

  • LD Remanufactured Tri-Color Ink Cartridge for HP 60 (CC643WN)

    Q:

    F4480 refill cartridges

I did not mean to infer I was questioning the integrity of the cartridge.
I just need to know how to override the printers rejection of the cartridge.
I have tried tricking by taping off contacts, simultaneously pressing off and cancel and several other internet suggestions to no avail. I have an HP
original in the color slot that it recognizes but several black refills cause
error light and low ink. As I recall LD enclosed instructions in the past
but I seem to have misplaced them. Thanks for any help.
Asked on 3/27/2015 by Jimbo from Atlanta GA

    1 answer

    • A:

Please call in and explain the situation to our customer service team. A cartridge can only be refilled if it's not completely empty and then sometimes it can only be refilled once before the printer will reject it. If it's reading low ink you should be able to print but if it's rejecting I don't think it can be fixed. Call 888-321-2552

  • LD Remanufactured Tri-Color Ink Cartridge for HP 60 (CC643WN)

    Q:

How do I get printer to recognize refills?

I bought several of your HP60 cartridges for my HP F4480 printer. I cannot get the printer to recognize the refills. I get a low ink indicator on both color and black/white and a flashing yellow light.
Asked on 3/24/2015 by Jimbo from Atlanta, GA, USA

    1 answer

    • A:

With remanufactured cartridges it’s normal that they would be read by your machine as "low" or even "empty." The reason for this is simply that HP has restrictions in place that prevent us from resetting the chip that monitors your ink levels. The cartridges are actually full - we ensure this by weighing the cartridges prior to shipment. Even though the levels may read low or empty, the cartridge will still print the full page yield.

I recently purchased a tricolor and a black remanufactured ink cartridges from LD Products. I have used these before and find the quality comparable to new cartridges. I photograph flowers and I expect the colors to be bright, crisp and true and these cartridges meet the criteria. I was able to take advantage of free shipping and they arrived two days after I ordered them. I appreciate the savings and the service.

I purchased 4 of the HP60 ink cartridges a few months ago. Was extremely satisfied! I thought, wow! this company has got a great product!
Then I got to my last cartridge. Barely printed two pictures.

I decided to stick with the local supplier. But.... I thought, well, maybe I should buy one cartridge from 4inkjets and see how many pictures I can print.

So I bought the XL cartridge. It barely printed the amount of a standard cartridge.
I do heavy printing. I also keep track of the pictures from each cartridge. They all matched except for the 4th one and this previous one.

I am disappointed. I was hoping this would be my go-to company for all ink, etc.

Sincerely,
Cool101

Comments about Remanufactured HY Tri-Color Ink Cartridge for HP 60XL:

I was very happy with my first two orders. One order was for a school printer where my fiance teaches. The other order was for a home printer. Both orders were excellent quality at a significant savings.
The only negative to the whole experience was unexpectedly discovering there was a "second" step to verifying my information. I just happened to notice an email informing me of this two days after placing my orders. It caused an additional two-day delay in shipping. Now that this is settled, I look forward to a good price and fast service in the future.

Cartridge Comparison Guide
  • Cartridge Types
  • Ink & Toner Basics
  • Number of Pages & Shelf Life
Cartridge Type
Genuine or OEM (Original) Cartridges Remanufactured Cartridges Compatible Cartridges
Description OEM stands for original equipment manufacturer, meaning the cartridge was made by the same company that made your printer. Original brand cartridges are very reliable and sometimes the only option if your printer is new to market or uncommon. Remanufactured ink is a genuine brand cartridge that has gone through one cycle of use. After use, the cartridge is recycled, acquired by a remanufacturing facility and put through a rigorous professional refurbishing process. During the refurbishing process the cartridge is disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and tested for quality. It's then carefully refilled, tested again and brought back to life. Buying remanufactured prevents one less cartridge from ending up in a landfill. A compatible cartridge is a brand new ink cartridge built by a manufacturer other than your printer. It's like buying the generic version of the genuine brand. Most are uniquely designed to differentiate from genuine cartridges. Despite any structural difference you may notice, the cartridge will still fit in your machine and print a full yield, just like the original brand.
Price Factors Many printer manufacturers follow the razor-and-blades business model which may result in higher priced genuine cartridges. Remanufactured ink is much cheaper than the original brand ink. It's far more cost effective to refurbish a previously used cartridge than create a new OEM from scratch. Compatible ink is much cheaper than the original brand. Compatible suppliers don't have to worry about the additional costs that hinder OEMs like new printers or firmware, which lets them keep prices low.
Quality Original cartridges work extremely well and are covered under a warranty by the printer manufacturer High quality remanufactured ink will match the quality of the original, but not all remanufactured ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results. High quality compatible ink will match the quality of the original, but not all compatible ink is created equal. Make sure you buy from a reputable supplier in order to get the absolute best results.
What's the difference between ink and toner cartridges?
Ink Cartridges Toner Cartridges
Printer Type Work with inkjet printers Work with laser printers
Material Liquid ink Dry powder
How it works Inkjet printers use a series of nozzles that spray tiny drops of ink directly on the print suface Laser toner printers use static electricity and heat to bond dry toner powder to a page
Commonly used by Casual home users, small business and photographers Large businesses and schools
Number of Pages You Can Print A cartridge's page yield is the estimated number of pages you can print. Page yield is based on 5% page coverage. This means that the quoted page yield is based upon printed pages where only 5% of the page has been imprinted with ink. For example, a short memo has approximately 5% coverage. If you have a cartridge that has a yield of 500 pages, it can print 500 pages of that short memo. If you are printing letters, photos or graphics, your coverage will vary greatly and your page yield will drop significantly.
Cartridge Warranty and Shelf Life Most ink and toner cartridges include a warranty or "best by" date on their box. Remanufactured and compatible ink cartridges can last 12-18 months unopened, and toner cartridges can last up to 3 years.
Cartridge Care and Storage Only open a cartridge when you need it. Opened cartridges will eventually dry out, especially if the protective tape or clip has been removed. If you have an open ink cartridge around and would like to try and prevent it from drying out, place it nozzle side up in a plastic airtight tub. If your cartridge came with protective tape or a clip reapply both before storing. Place a damp cloth or paper towel in the tub, next to the cartridge and keep it stored in a cool, dark place.
